Be free from using perverse words, no matter what!

“Avoid dishonest speech and pretentious words. Be free from using perverse words, no matter what!” Proverbs 4:24(TPT)
No matter the provocation do not use perverse words.
Say only things that will edify and build up your hearers.
“Keep vigilant watch over your heart; that’s where life starts. Don’t talk out of both sides of your mouth; avoid careless banter, white lies, and gossip. Keep your eyes straight ahead; ignore all sideshow distractions. Watch your step, and the road will stretch out smooth before you. Look neither right nor left; leave evil in the dust.” Proverbs 4:4(MSG)
No doubletalk.
No Careless banter
No white lies
No gossip.
Use your mouth to praise God at all times.

“ My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord, and let all flesh bless (affectionately and gratefully praise) His holy name forever and ever.”
Psalm 145:21
Remember again that your words are to give life and healings.
“Nothing is more appealing than speaking beautiful, life-giving words.
For they release sweetness to our souls and inner healing to our spirits.”
Proverbs 16:24(TPT)
“What this adds up to, then, is this: no more lies, no more pretense. Tell your neighbor the truth. In Christ’s body, we’re all connected to each other, after all. When you lie to others, you end up lying to yourself.” Ephesians 4:25(MSG)
When you tell lies, you are living in self-deception.
Watch what proceeds from your mouth.

I have noticed that anytime I say or give words of encouragement to people, it enliven and make them more open to me.
I remember encouraging my daughter and telling her how much I love and appreciate all she does, and she looked at me and said ‘ do you really mean that mum’? From that day I could see more changes in her with the willingness to do what is right.
Communication is vital for a good relationship but we must be careful with the words we speak out. As much as words can build us so can words destroy.
As Christians we must be conscious of words we says. Let our words encourage and edify. Avoid too much talk . From my experience , I have noticed that in the multitude of words , sin is not lacking.
Thank you for sharing this devotion.
