His Sister stood afar off

His sister stood afar off

“And his sister stood afar off, to wit what would be done to him…… Then said his sister to Pharaoh’s daughter, Shall I go and call to thee a nurse of the Hebrew women, that she may nurse the child for thee? And Pharaoh’s daughter said to her, Go. And the maid went and called the child’s mother.” Exodus 2: 4-8 (KJV)

Have you ever wondered how Miriam was able to have the courage and faith to wait and see what would happen to her baby brother?

How did she get the right words to speak to Pharaoh’s daughter that yielded the needed results?

The scriptures tell us that God promises “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.” Psalm 32:8  (KJV)

Are you in a situation like Miriam today looking at what is going to happen next?

Can you imagine the initial anxiety of Moses mother as she left the baby and then the unbelievable surprise of how her daughter now came to call her to be employed as a nurse to her child in a land that was killing other sons?

Are you also watching to see what would happen?

God is the same yesterday today and forever.

His miracles are still available for you today.

The wisdom, courage, and faith HE gave to Miriam are still available for you today.

Keep trusting and praising HIM.

I will instruct you (says the Lord) and guide you along the best pathway for your life; I will advise you and watch your progress.

Don’t just stand afar off.

Focus with your eyes of faith, a grateful heart and keep listening.

He showed up for this peculiar need.

Yours is the next testimony of His instructions and guidance.

“It is because of the Lord’s mercy and loving-kindness that we are not consumed because His [tender] compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great and abundant is Your stability and faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23 (AMPC)
