Whose son are you? …A servant’s Testimony.

by | May 10, 2017

“One of the servants said to Saul, “One of Jesse’s sons from Bethlehem is a talented harp player. Not only that–he is a brave warrior, a man of war, and has good judgment. He is also a fine-looking young man, and the LORD is with him.” 1 Samuel 16: 18
God’s ways are not our ways;
We discovered that God did not even give the above description of the qualities HE had seen in David through Samuel. Rather it came from a “servant” whose name was not even mentioned in the bible.
This is a lesson for leaders God watches and uses whoever obeys Him.
Heaven will be full of surprises.
Whose son are you?
Are you truly born again? We call you brother or Sister but God knows who you are. If you are not His son He knows.
What skills do you have?
You are born with talents and potentials but you must develop yourself.
David from this account was just put in charge of the sheep but he developed his skills .He was the 8th child, seven brothers were preferred before him but that did not deter him from his destiny.
Dictionary defines valor as “ strength of mind or spirit that enables somebody to encounter danger with firmness, personal bravery”
The Bible says as a man thinketh so is he.
David had great thoughts about himself, which became manifested.
Are you talented?
Add bravery to your talents and become who God has purposed you to be.
We will look at the other qualities of David at another timeToday don’t hide your talents be brave about it.
You don’t know who is going to give your testimony at the right place or using today’s parlance God is about to put in a good word for you
Certainly God is watching.

They will continue to rise over and over again.

“For the lovers of God may suffer adversity and stumble seven times, but they will continue to rise over and over again. But the unrighteous are brought down by just one calamity and will never be able to rise again. Never gloat when your enemy meets disaster, and don’t be quick to rejoice if he falls. For the Lord, who sees your heart, will be displeased with you and will pity your foe.”
