As a man is, so is his strength.

“And he said to Jether his firstborn, “Rise, kill them!” But the youth would not draw his sword; for he was afraid, because he was still a youth.
So Zebah and Zalmunna said, “Rise yourself, and kill us; for as a man is, so is his strength.” So Gideon arose and killed Zebah and Zalmunna, and took the crescent ornaments that were on their camels’ necks.”  Judges 8:20-21
How is your strength today to carry out the assignment God has given you to do?
Gideon in the above verses in the Bible had captured the enemies of Israel and wanted his firstborn son to finish up the job by killing the men but the son could not because he was still a youth who has not exercised himself with such warfare.
The Kingdom world has just celebrated the ultimate power of the resurrection of our Lord with which HE gave us all the power and authority to finish off the enemy and reign and rule till HE returns again.
However some have been behaving like that youth afraid to take possession of what God has given them. In the story above it was fear that paralyzed the youth that could not make him carry out what his Dad had asked him to do. Remember David was about this age when  he alone  had killed the lion and the bear himself with God’s grace upon his life.
Don’t let fear hinder you from what God has given you as victory.
Don’t remain a novice in the things of God and spiritual warfare as the Bible has said, as a man is so is his strength.  Paul encouraged us to grow in the things of God and not just keep feeding on childish nutrition .Let your growth be like David who put away fear and acted on what God has told him.
The whole world is awaiting the manifestation of the sons and daughters of God to take their dominion place in this world so we have to grow and be what God has commanded us to be.
How is your strength today? All power and authority HE has given you to possess your possession

After The Resurrection…

“But after I have been raised from the dead, I will go ahead of you to Galilee and meet you there.”  Matthew 26:32
Jesus Christ told the disciples that after HE has been raised from the dead HE would hurdle with them in Galilee. Why will Jesus want them back there for a show off?
It was at there in Cana of Galilee (the first miracle of turning water into wine at wedding) that the humble but focused purposeful ministry started and HE considered it fit that after the fulfillment of God’s purpose that place should also witness the results of what happened.
Jesus Christ showed Himself resurrected to many witnesses before he ascended to heaven and did not make Jerusalem the only place of manifestation after the resurrection. He has said the concept of the whole world as mission field from the inception of His Ministry.
Jesus Spoke specific things about Himself and what will happen thereafter in a manner only the author and finisher of our Faith can do.
Where is your place of humble beginning? Do recognize those early but firm purposeful beginnings? They need to know too the result of your transformed resurrected life.
When you started your Christian journey there are some lives that you possibly touched for good that need to know the outcome of your faithfulness to God and be therefore strengthened.
In those days the distance between Jerusalem and Galilee was quite long and not all that comfortable.
Where Jesus asked the disciples to meet Him first was not too easy. It required   self-determination to get there.
So also some of the instructions HE is giving us today is not that comfortable to do.
However note what he said I will go ahead of you…Whatsoever God is asking you to do HE himself has done it before and HE will be with you and meet you there.
His presence favor power and blessings are always on whatever HE commands you to do.
The mandate to spread the good news of the kingdom was not restricted to Jerusalem so also we should just not stay comfortable in the megacities of the world we must take it to the whole world.
As you remember the disciples trip to Galilee today note that its not just about picnics its about continuous obedience to God, sharing His testimonies in all the places HE has asked you to be .
As we know He later commanded them to go and wait for Him at the upper room and wait for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.
The essence of being a disciple is following HIM ALL THE WAY and not just choose to obey what is convenient.
Wherever HE has asked you to go HE will go ahead of you and meet you there.
Whatever the vision HE has given and outlined for you will surely be fulfilled as you obey Him step by step

Public Display

“Instead, I sometimes think God has put us apostles on display, like prisoners of war at the end of a victor’s parade, condemned to die. We have become a spectacle to the entire world–to people and angels alike.”  1 Corinthians 4:9
Today being Good Friday we remember the public display God did of His only Son to show He fully paid the full price of redemption.
Through the cross we are restored back to God.
Have you been to that place of display where your life is publicly displayed by the cross you have to carry?.
If like Christ you bearing your own cross as ordained by God then you can then identify with the display Apostle Paul talks about.
We are sometimes in situations that what seems to be our private life is publicly displayed for all to see.
Have you had circumstances above your control and everything is being played out like a script?
Jesus prayed before the crucifixion at the garden of Gethsemane that He wished the cross to pass over Him but nevertheless the less God’s perfect will be done.
We all go through phases of our lives that we wish it could be otherwise but as we continue in the perfect will of God sometimes God chooses to display us as examples of crucified lives so that others can be drawn to the Kingdom of God by our testimonies and victorious life.
Examine yourself that your cross is not self inflicted and be open to the Holy Spirit to correct you.
Be encouraged today as you carry your cross faithfully. Don’t be ashamed. Jesus our perfect example  Resurrected and the cross is empty.
You also will overcome and be triumphant.
Good Friday was a public display that ended as God Purposed so also is yours.

Hosanna today Crucify Him Tomorrow.

“Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.”1 John 4:17.
The reality of life as a true believer of Christ is that we get to experience what he has experienced. The passion week which started with Palm Sunday reminds us of how Christ was hailed and before the end of the week he was already nailed to the cross.
As  believers-as He is so are we.
There will be moments in your life when people will shout hosanna to you and tell you are the Best that has ever happened to them in their life. Don’t let that euphoria fool you those same people when your “week of trial” starts will turn around with a double mouth, accuse you and call for your crucifixion.
This is a reality of life you must face as a true believer as you move into different levels of your life and purposeful assignments.
Thanks be to God who has shown us in Christ Jesus that no matter the trial in life you are going through you will have victory because With God on your side you are an overcomer.
Just as Christ was tempted tested and tried in all the areas of life so also you will be.
Sometimes we wish we don’t have to go through betrayal again because years ago you were a victim of that.
The difference this time is that you are at another level of your assignment in life and now you know you can never put your trust in man again.
There were about 50 items in the checklist for the Old Testament priest to check  in the Passover lamb. Jesus Christ was thoroughly examined and tested too.
So when they plot and scheme on you let your anchor in Christ hold very firm and HE will see you through.
Praise God for you if all your life you have never been betrayed like Christ was but now you know what to do if that should happen.
As we remember Christ’s passion week this season let’s know that after the Hosanna , the crucifixion and the Resurrection is guaranteed. You will succeed and emerge victorious as Christ did as you believe and obey Him all the way.

Just as He Said

“He is not here; He has risen, just as He said! Come, see the place where He lay.” Matthew 28:6
Right from creation every thing happened just as He said.
God said let there be in Genesis 1 and it has been so till today. God has taught us in so many ways in the scriptures that we have to say what we believe in our hearts and we see it come to pass.
It’s significant to remember in this season of celebrating the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus that this Resurrection happened JUST AS HE SAID.
What are you saying today Especially about your destiny ?
Jesus spoke what His purpose in life was about and at every point He confessed what the father has said about Him.
As we celebrate Easter this season let’s know that it all happened as HE said it would.
Say words that are in line with your purpose in life.
No matter the challenges you are facing  say only His words that line up with you  life.
Never speak negatively about your purpose in life.
Make positive confessions at all times.
Remember the  Shunammite  woman ? (2Kings 4)She experienced the resurrection of her son.
Jesus Himself said positive words about the dead Lazarus and he was  brought back to life.  Whatever appeared dead in your situation speak life to it in Jesus name.
The path to the cross was filled with purposeful challenges and at each point Jesus spoke exactly what was required. During the temptation He told satan that man shall not live by bread alone but by the word of God.
He emphasized and encouraged us to  speak to our destiny.
No matter the area of your life look for the word of God and say it over the situation.
In healing say By His stripes you are healed. He wishes above all that you are healthy and prosperous that’s what you should always say to yourself.

Don’t look at the Face Value

“ So the (Israelites) men partook of their food and did not consult the Lord “
Joshua 9:14
Joshua was told in clear terms what to do in the conquest of the Promised Land and he went about it faithfully until the Gibeonites hatched a masterpiece deception that not only deceived him but along with the elders of Israel to the extent that they ate out of the “fake food’ that helped mislead them that the Gibeonites  came from afar place and not the stone throw distance they actually came from.

It’s not only Joshua that made this mistake many of us still do today.
We look at things superficially and come to a decision based on our own understanding without consulting God.

There are many people today with fake testimony that they “testify, “ to lead Christians astray.
Born again Sisters have been deceived by men who had mastered the “acts” of being a Christian and had deceived them into marriage likewise some women too had pretended to be real Christians only to lure Christian brothers into deception.

In business people present cooked up facts and sometimes in haste business partners don’t verify information and they end up deceived like Joshua and the Israelites.
The way out is to consult God every step of the way. David was such a man after God’s own heart that consulted with God in most of his undertakings and remains till date as a reference point in God’s kingdom.

The scripture says that believers do not make hasty decisions.

Be patient in your spirit to listen and verify that what you are seeing or even tasting is from God and not a grand deception.

Paul the Apostle was able to discern that the “correct” prophecy was coming out from a false source and quickly denounced it.

Don’t look at the Face Value of issues  .Go deeper in consulting with God .The Bible contains all the truth you will need as guidance on any subject of life.

However Joshua repented of his mistake and consolidated his victory for God. If you had fallen as a victim of deception don’t stay deceived. Become wiser and finish what God has assigned you to do.

Trust and obey Him all the way and you will enjoy the abundance of walking with God in all areas of your life.
