Unable to detect and detest their sins
“See how they flatter themselves, unable to detect and detest their sins. They are crooked and conceited, convinced they can get away with anything.” ‭Psalms‬ ‭36:2‬ ‭TPT‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
I read recently in the newspapers about a woman who because of the noise the smoke detector was making in her kitchen removed the smoke detector and continued cooking and later on took a nap while still cooking.  She and her children got burnt, and they eventually died in that house because of the smoke detector that she disabled.
How sensitive are you to detect and move away from sin?
Have you disabled all those warnings about sin in your life?
Sometimes people surround themselves with lies and half-truths to douse their conscience
Don’t live a deceitful life and talk it away as if it doesn’t really matter
One leg in church the other in the world?
”Others are doing it so why can’t I ” you do say.
Those ”others” may not have heaven as their destination hence they care less about holiness
”How shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed and keeping watch [on himself] according to Your word [conforming his life to it]. With my whole heart have I sought You, inquiring for and of You and yearning for You; Oh, let me not wander or step aside [either in ignorance or willfully] from Your commandments.” Psalm 119:9-10(AMPC)
Live your life according to the Word of God.
Don’t live your life according to the opinion poll.
“Their wicked words are nothing but lies. Wisdom is far from them. Goodness is both forgotten and forsaken.” Psalms‬ ‭36:3‬ ‭TPT‬‬‬‬
You have the grace as you repent from your sins and turn to the Holy Spirit to enable you to live victoriously
“I give all my thanks to God, for his mighty power has finally provided a way out through our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One! So if left to myself, the flesh is aligned with the law of sin, but now my renewed mind is fixed on and submitted to God’s righteous principles.” Romans‬ ‭7:25‬ ‭TPT‬‬‬‬
Don’t disable the sin detector in your heart.
Don’t just explain sin away.
Runaway from every appearance of evil
You are born of God, and you can overcome.
