Turning bitter to sweet

by | Mar 6, 2017

” Then Moses made Israel set out from the Red Sea, and they went into the wilderness of Shur. They went three days in the wilderness and found no water. When they came to Marah, they could not drink the water of Marah because it was bitter; therefore it was named Marah.[a] And the people grumbled against Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?” And he cried to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a log,[b] and he threw it into the water, and the water became sweet.
There the Lord[c] made for them a statute and a rule, and there he tested them,” Ex 15:23-25
We all get to experience some bitter situations in our lives. Buwe must not stop there. That bitter experience will not be forever. It will soon turn to sweetness.
The butterfly moth has to struggle and break out for it to become that beautiful butterfly that we love to see.
Your life journey is designed to let you experience some bitter phases. God in His wisdom allows such to bring the sweetness out so that you can always appreciate Him more.
Like the Israelites experience in the verses above it was a test to make them trust Him. In their dependence on Him they found the solution to change the situation. When you too trust God in this bitterness you passing through He will show you the way to sweetness.
Whatever challenge you passing through God has the solution.
Find time to hear Him and obey Him.
He will turn that bitter situation to sweetness.
