 They said among themselves

“And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live. And he shook off the beast into the fire and felt no harm. Howbeit they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god.” Acts 28:4-6 (KJV)
What are people saying about you because of what they see happening to you right now?
People who don’t know your relationship with God will say and continue to say things about you based only on what they can see.
Look again at the circumstances Apostle Paul was initially going through in the above scriptures.
Momentarily he became the subject and focus of their “jist.”
However, God that always works ALL things together for good to them that love Him turned the situation around to His Glory.
What are the challenges of life today that is making people look at you with contempt, disdain, and even wonder whether you truly know God as you claim?
Just as Paul shook off that viper and it died without any single harm to Paul so also you will overcome this situation you are in right now.
Paul was so sure of His Destiny and destination that he paid them no attention but continued with what he had to do, and God gave him the victory.
Focus on your purpose in life and please ignore what people may be saying about you based on what they can see.
God is on your side, and You have emerged victorious in Jesus Name.
