The Egyptians Pursued them …

by | Oct 16, 2017

“The Egyptians pursued them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh and his horsemen and his army, and overtook them encamped at the [Red] Sea by Pi-hahiroth, in front of Baal-zephon. When Pharaoh drew near, the Israelites looked up, and behold, the Egyptians were marching after them; and the Israelites were exceedingly frightened and cried out to the Lord.” Exodus 14: 9-11
Earlier in Chapter 12 verse 31 we read He called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, get out from among my people, both you and the Israelites; and go, serve the Lord, as you said.” However just in chapter 14 we see Pharaoh changed his mind and pursued the Israelites again.
Whenever God set you free on any issue it’s the characteristic of the enemy to come back and attempt to recapture you again.
Don’t panic like the children of Israelites initially did, keep to your freedom and don’t desire the “pleasure” of slavery again.
Confess positively the victory God has given to you.
In the Garden of Eden the enemy came to challenge the freedom God gave Adam and Eve by sowing doubt into them that they were really not free as they thought they were and in the bid to prove their freedom to the devil they actually lost the freedom.
He repeated the same trick on the Lord Jesus Christ again to test the deity and loyalty of the Savior but thanks to the victory of the WORD Jesus spoke and consolidated the victory HE has over the enemy.
What victory has the Lord given you and the enemy is pursuing like Pharaoh to take back from you?
Moses listened to God and was able to be completely victorious.
Jesus was also victorious in all the temptations Satan tempted HIM.

Don’t doubt your victory, even when you see a red sea ahead and the Egyptian army behind you.
Stay true to your confession of faith.
The enemy pursuing you will perish in the red sea just like the Egyptians that pursued them perished.
