Quench not the Spirit.

by | Oct 9, 2017

Don’t suppress the Spirit, and don’t stifle those who have a word from the Master. On the other hand, don’t be gullible. Check out everything, and keep only what’s good. Throw out anything tainted with evil.” 1 Thessalonians 5:19-22
When you have a friend that constantly tells you about the problems he is having and you genuinely offer him possible solutions but he does not take one single action on the advice you keep giving him what will you do when next he brings his problems to you?
You will most likely walk away or modestly keep quiet.
That is what most of us do to the Holy Spirit. We tell HIM about our problems, challenges and whatever and when HE suggests a way out we tend to choose alternate solutions rather than do what the Holy Sprit is telling us.
Don’t quench the Holy Spirit that is in you giving you directions daily on how to live your life successfully.

Show me your friends and I will tell you who you are is an adage that truly depicts who we are truly in life.
Today we are not necessarily surrounded by physical friends that people can see but we have those friends now in our hand held phone .The Group chats, the websites we visit, what we watch and what type of music we listen to.
Are all these enabling you to strengthen your ability to hear what the Holy Spirit is telling you?

Let the Word that you have heard grow and produce multiple fold increases in your life by yielding to the Holy Spirit guidance.
HE is a very sensitive friend so don’t keep neglecting HIM.
However HE does not check out on you like most of your friends will do HE is still silently there with you. Make up with HIM today and HE will show you the true path to catching up what you have missed when you ignored HIM.
He will lead you to RESTORATION.
Do not quench (suppress or subdue) the [Holy] Spirit.
