To delight in the will of God.

To delight in the will of God.
I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart. Ps. 40:8. (KJV).
When you have a presentation, how well do you prepare?
When you are in a prize-winning competition:
You give it all that it takes.
If you need to work exactly according to rules:
You learn the steps to follow by heart.
Once you enjoy doing a job :
You master the steps, including the challenging ones.
The psalmist said the law of the Lord is in his heart.
How much do you think he had to study to get the law in his heart?
Once you are in love with God.
Your delight should be to know Him.
You know what pleases Him by heart.
It is easy to live by the laws of God if you truly love Him.
Do you delight to do the will of God?
Learn daily what God loves.
Study the Scriptures concerning your purpose in life.
Application to the Christian life:
Love God with your whole heart.
Find joy in the will of God.
Submit to Him.
Serve Him.

An honest man with no hidden motive!

“Philip went to look for his friend, Nathanael, and told him, “We’ve found him! We’ve found the One we’ve been waiting for! It’s Jesus, son of Joseph from Nazareth! He’s the One whom Moses and the prophets prophesied would come!” Nathanael sneered, “Nazareth! What good thing could ever come from Nazareth?” Philip answered, “Come and let’s find out!” When Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, he said, “Here comes a true son of Israel—an honest man with no hidden motive!”
John 1:45-47(TPT)

How have you been doing in witnessing Christ to your friends?
Are you finding and actively bring others to Christ?
The joy of salvation is sharing and spreading the Good News of the Kingdom.
In our text, Jesus’s not only encouraged soul winning, but He celebrated and commended the purity of the heart of Nathaniel.
“Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God.”
Matthew 5:8(NKJV)

Several years ago, when in College.
I came across a rare Saint of God.
Who I can by His Grace did not lie.
No ambiguity in his statement.
He was pure in heart.

A rare gem.
He was transparently honest.

Brother Akintunde John Aremu would easily fit into Jesus’s Description of Nathaniel.
He went home to be with the Lord this January 2021.
It’s been quite challenging coming to terms with the fact that he has relocated to heaven.
The attached piece titled Remembering Brother Akintunde John Aremu attempts to capture his life’s significance on others.
Akintunde will want you to continue in soul winning and living a pure life.
He was challenged, tested, and tried.
He overcame in Jesus’s Name.
You, too, can leave a life of legacy that will glorify God.
Special thanks to.
The LVCUA’s platform whose tributes are also shared.
Be encouraged with his testimony.

When the LORD Saw.

When the LORD Saw.
“The Messenger of the LORD appeared to him there as flames of fire coming out of a bush. Moses looked, and although the bush was on fire, it was not burning up. So he thought, “Why isn’t this bush burning up? I must go over there and see this strange sight.” When the LORD saw that Moses had come over to see it, God called to him from the bush, “Moses, Moses!” Moses answered, “Here I am!” Exodus 3:2-4 (GW)

When the LORD saw that, he turned away [from the flock] to look.
When the LORD saw that, he turned aside to see
He went over to investigate. Then God called out to him
When the LORD saw that he had gone over to look.

To hear God clearly, you must “pause” for a moment to look and listen.
Do you want to know what God is doing in your purposeful life?
Then create time to turn away from the flocks for a moment.
Moses saw the extraordinary that the bush was on fire but not consumed.

He did not just wave it off.
He took his eyes off his primary assignment of tending to the flock.
Have you been asking God to speak to you lately?
Then you must disengage yourself a bit from your busy schedule to hear Him.

Prayers are not just blabbing all that you want.
It involves turning aside to hear Him speak to you.
Jesus not only prayed, but He consistently listens to God.
“So Jesus said, “I speak to you eternal truth. The Son is unable to do anything from himself or through his own initiative. I only do the works that I see the Father doing, for the Son does the same works as his Father.” John5:19(TPT)
As you start this new month, turn aside and listen to Him.

The Inner Person.

The Inner Person.
But let the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. 1 Peter 3:4. (KJV).

How do you “package” yourself before stepping out?
How much time do you spend in front of a mirror?
Do you enjoy cleaning the house before receiving visitors?
Why do you do that if you do not enjoy it?
How much money do you spend to impress people?
Are you friendly with people?
Why?
What do you do or say behind their back?
What are your inner thoughts towards your friends?
How pure is your heart?
Do you honor your mother and father?
Are you gentle and kind towards other people?
Are you obedient?
Do you help others in need?
These are part of inner beauty.
This is of great value to God.
Are you leading a life approved by God?
Application to the Christian life:

Give more attention to your inner life.

God sees your heart.
He knows all your inner motives.
Check constantly that your heart is right before God.
True life is not about impressing people.
It is about pleasing God.
Live to please Him.

God Hears You.

God Hears You.
The righteous cry and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. Ps. 34:17. (KJV).
How many problems do you have?
Is life getting you down?
Do you feel you cannot cope?
Take a look at the life of David?
From the moment God used him to kill Goliath.
Till he was eventually crowned the King?
How many challenges did he face?

Yet, he trusted God.
He served God.

What was the end of David’s life like?
What challenges are you going through now?
Why do you think God cannot help you?
Why will He not hear you?
Hear what David said again:
“God, you’re such a safe and powerful place to find refuge!
You’re a proven help in time of trouble— more than enough and always available whenever I need you. So we will never fear
even if every structure of support were to crumble away.
We will not fear even when the earth quakes and shakes,
moving mountains and casting them into the sea.” Psalm 46:1-2(TPT)
He is ALWAYS available.
God can help you.
Trust Him.
He Hears You.
Are you righteous?
Your righteousness is in Christ Jesus.
Application to the Christian life:
Serve God with a righteous heart.
Trust Him.
Surrender your life to Jesus.
Regardless of the challenges:
Don’t stop Loving God.
Never stop serving Him.
He will help You.

Keep My Commandments.

Keep My Commandments.
If ye love me, keep my commandments. John 14:15. (KJV).
Are you in love?
Are you in a relationship?
Do you love your wife or your husband?
Still, engaged?
What do you do to make that person happy?
Each partner tried as much as possible to keep their words to each other.
In a relationship:
It is essential to understand the needs of the other person.
It is also critical to do everything to be in agreement with each other.
Certain things are acceptable.
Others are not.
Are you in love with your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ?
Jesus gave the rules.
Can you keep those rules?
Are you daily keeping to the things you promised to do for God?
“For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.” 1John 5:3(KJV)
Do you really love Jesus?
Application to the Christian life:
Keep the commandments God gave.
Be humble.
Serve God.
Honor God.
Love God with all your heart.
