Dual Personality?

“You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everyone. You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.” 2 Corinthians 3:2-3

Are you a different person in church on Sunday and during the week days at work?

Is it a different You that they see in your home and not at church?

Will the person that meet and interact with you in church will enjoy the same person if they should be living with you at home or working with you ?

There should be no two persons inside of you that constantly changes depending where you are.
You should be the same graceful tolerant and caring person in church as well as you are at home or work.
Don’t live the excuse that you can not be the same Christian at church and be the consistent Christian at home or  in your workplace

God has put inside of you the grace and abilities to live a consistent God Glorifying life whether you are at work ,church or in your home.

Is your dressing so radical different on Sunday’s that other church members would easily pass by you  during the week and they will not recognize you ?

Is Your excuse  the fact that you put on uniform to work ?
Is God able to show through your uniform when you put it on?

God can and will manifest Himself through your job and please don’t limit being identified with God only on Sunday’s or when you are in church only….

“Let us hold fast the profession of [our] faith without wavering; (for he [is] faithful that promised;” Hebrews 10:23

Even if mothers forget

“Can a mother forget the infant at her breast, walk away from the baby she bore? But even if mothers forget, I’d never forget you – never. Look, I’ve written your names on the backs of my hands.”Isaiah 49:15-16A

A woman came in to the train with a stroller with a baby inside it.
After taking her seat she carefully turned the baby away from her to apparently face the other passengers in the train and for almost 25 minutes she was on the phone with someone and did not even cast one glance at the baby nor appeared to have heard the sounds and the baby’s movements in the stroller.  I was not only puzzled but I asked my self what mother or even a nanny will go out with an innocent baby and would not for a second take a look at how the baby is doing?
Sometimes adult who quarrel with each other could seat next to each other without looking at each other’s face. Some husbands and wives could occasionally do that.
However for a woman to take out a young baby and not take a glance is unsettling. That baby has been entrusted to her care.
It comforting to know that  God does not do that to us when we go out with Him. When we are in His presence  the banner of love HE has over us means HE is looking at us ,connecting with us whenever and wherever we are and HE definitely takes better care of us. “He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love [for love waved as a protecting and comforting banner over my head when I was near him].” Song of Solomon 2:4

He says ” I will never leave you nor forsake you”. “And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.” Deuteronomy 31:8
Be assured that as you continue in His presence HE is adoringly looking at you and paying you utmost attention.

Do not fear nor be dismayed.

Stop defending yourself put your trust in God.

“O Lord my God, in You I put my trust;
Save me from all those who persecute me;
And deliver me,” Psalm 7:1
Lets learn from King David again today about letting God defend you and vindicate you.
There will be things said about you either past present and future that will not only baffle you but will not be true. If you embark on a one by one-personal approach to people to defend and clarify your position you will end up losing focus on your life’s purpose.
King David in the above scripture put his trust in God to defend him when he was apparently misjudged.
Today focus on your purposeful assignments in life and don’t bother about what people are saying about you.
Check your relationship with God like David did and let His praises fill your mouth and saturate your life rather than wasting your time in trying to explain your position.
“Now when King David came to Bahurim, there was a man from the family of the house of Saul, whose name was Shimei the son of Gera, coming from there. He came out, cursing continuously as he came.  And he threw stones at David and at all the servants of King David. And all the people and all the mighty men were on his right hand and on his left.” 2 Samuel 16:5-6
David again in the above passage ignored the curses from Shimei and kept his attention on how God was going to deliver him.
Don’t try to settle scores with all those who either curse you to your face or say it behind you.
Keep your eyes on what God has purposed for you .
You will be living behind a legacy of your achievements in life like David did.
“ I’m thanking God, who makes things right. I’m singing the fame of heaven-high God.” Psalm 7:17
Thank God today like David did.
Praise HIM today and always .
God is your defender.

HE knows your need ahead of time

“Great is Thy faithfulness
Great is Thy faithfulness
Morning by morning new mercies I see
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me”
–Great Is Thy Faithfulness –Thomas Chisholm – 1925
I found one cent somewhere on my study table and naturally like we do for the coins in my household wanted to put in into the coin jar in the house but I heard the inner voice that told me keep it on me . 1 cent ?
Generally I don’t like carrying coins but I obeyed and from the beginning of the week kept it in my pocket daily. Thursday afternoon as I was heading back home I branched at one of the stores close to the house to buy some items  and when the man rang the bill it was $X.01. Bling I remembered the one single coin I have been carrying about for days.
God cares so much about me that HE knew days ahead that I will need that coin because I would not like them to give me a change of 99cents.
In so many ways God speaks to us and make provisions for our needs.
HE gave the children of Israel Gold when they were leaving Egypt because they will need it for building  the Tabernacle in the wilderness  which they initially misused for building the golden calf.
What is it that God is asking you to add on today that will be useful ahead?
It may be to keep an X amount because somebody in need will come across your path.
It may be to research a topic because a soul that needs proper counsel and may be seating to you on your next flight.
It may be a strong impression to pray for that brother or sister you have not seen for years.
Whatever the nudge the Holy Spirit is giving you to do please do it and get ready to  be available for God
As I stood on the line ready to pay I searched for my 1 cent and did not find it on me and there was a line behind me waiting to make payment too.  I  had to take the change I don’t like carrying and guess what ? I found it on me when I got home. It was still in one of my pockets. I repented and promise to do better when next God has prepared me ahead.
What about you?
“God’s loyal love couldn’t have run out,his merciful love couldn’t have dried up.They’re created new every morning. How great your faithfulness!I’m sticking with God (I say it over and over). He’s all I’ve got left.” Lamentations 3:22-23
Be better prepared for the things HE has positioned you for.

Twice was his robe wrongly taken away from him

“So when Joseph arrived, his brothers ripped off the beautiful robe he was wearing.”Genesis 37:23
“She caught him by his cloak and said, “Come to bed with me!” But he left his cloak in her hand and ran out of the house.”Genesis 39:12
As seen in the above scriptures twice was Joseph robe taken away from him without him committing any sin. First was when his brothers planned to kill him but eventually sold him. The second time was when Potiphar’s wife attempted to lure him.
Significantly Joseph did not do anything wrong and he did not use it as an excuse to commit any sin.
Some Christian use the excuse that God has disappointed them to sin.
They claim they are in a “tight situation” where they justly excuse their shortcomings.
Joseph did not have a complete Bible like we do today but  he kept his relationship with God intact.
He remembered his God given dreams .
Don’t give up on your God given dreams.
Eventually he got a much more glorious robe which heralded in the fulfillment of his dreams and his Purposeful preservation of the emerging nation of Israel.
“So Pharaoh commissioned Joseph: “I’m putting you in charge of the entire country of Egypt.” Then Pharaoh removed his signet ring from his finger and slipped it on Joseph’s hand. He outfitted him in robes of the best linen and put a gold chain around his neck. He put the second-in-command chariot at his disposal, and as he rode people shouted “Bravo!”
Joseph was in charge of the entire country of Egypt.” Genesis 41:42-43
Let’s remind ourselves today that no matter the set up by the enemy even if the robes are taken don’t compromise.
Don’t give up .
Don’t justify sin in any shape or form.
Victory is ahead.

What is your upbringing and custom ?

“So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.” Luke 4:16

Jesus’s upbringing and custom propelled him to consistently go into the synagogue and it was there that He announced his mandate which was Purposefully fulfilled.
How is your upbringing and custom impacting your purpose in life ?
Sometimes the choices our parents and guardians have made for us had either propelled us or removed us from our Purposeful life.
However as we completely surrender our lives to the Lord we are to imbibe and embrace the upbringing and custom of the kingdom of God.
When Saul was converted and became Paul he embraced the custom which advanced his Purposeful life.
“As was Paul’s custom, he went to the synagogue service, and for three Sabbaths in a row he used the Scriptures to reason with the people.” Acts 17:2
How are you doing today?
Is your upbringing and custom advancing your kingdom purpose?
You may also be in a privileged position to influence the lives of others entrusted to your care, are you helping them towards fulfilling their God given destiny?
Resolve today that through your choices your upbringing and custom will be channeled to enable you to fulfill your God given destiny.
