Why bother and distress the Teacher any further?

by | Nov 17, 2017

“While He was still speaking, there came some from the ruler’s house, who said [to Jairus], Your daughter has died. Why bother and distress the Teacher any further Overhearing but ignoring what they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue, Do not be seized with alarm and struck with fear; only keep on believing.”  Mark 5:35-36
Are you being told with a degree of certainty that what you have prayed and believed God for has not happened?  Are you being presented with facts contrary to your expectations? Despite these you   are still in fellowship with Jesus, still following HIM and these “contrary” things are happening in your very eyes and ears?  What’s going on in your thoughts and inner heart right now on this issue that appears to have failed?
Be encouraged today because Jairus was in a similar situation where momentarily what he has believed God for literally “vanished” from his eyes. Jesus told Jairus “only keep believing” and Jairus kept his undivided focus and attention on Jesus. He believed and confessed what he has prayed to God for and followed Jesus all the way to receive his miracle.
Don’t allow contrary news from whichever source to change your confession on what you believe God for. Follow Jesus all the way thorough. Jairus did not dismiss Jesus immediately after hearing the news. He did not say, “don’t bother any more” to God. He believed and his daughter was raised back to life.
Believe. Don’t Stop following God. Don’t say anything negative.
Your miracle is yours, as you believe.
