They went up in full force to search for him.

“When the Philistines heard that David had been anointed king over Israel, they went up in full force to search for him, but David heard about it and went down to the stronghold.  Now the Philistines had come and spread out in the Valley of Rephaim;”
2 Samuel 5:17-19 (NIV)
The enemy ascertained that David had now been confirmed into his destiny.
They went up in full force to search for him with full intent to stop it.
They were not invited to the anointing ceremony.
However, they heard of it.
The enemy knows what is ahead of you.
It will look for avenues to try and stop you.
Ordinarily, you would expect that they would remember that this same David killed their champion.
However, when David moved up in his purposeful life, they gathered again.
Don’t be perturbed when the enemy tries to stop you.
It saw the glory God had purposed for man and made a move.
The first Adam did not run into his stronghold, and he fell.
The second knew, and when the enemy came tempting Him.
He was at His stronghold.
He knew how to say it is written. (Matthew 4:4)
Do you have a fortress, stronghold, a place of refuge to turn to?
Jesus Christ is the impenetrable place to come to at all times.
“…When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.” Isaiah 59:19 (NKJV)
In Jesus Christ You are unstoppable.
David had a relationship with God, and he could receive the strategy for victory.
Do you?
