The two shall become one.

by | Dec 1, 2017

“But from the beginning of creation, God made them male and female. For this reason, a man shall leave [behind] his father and his mother and be joined to his wife and cleave closely to her permanently, And the two shall become one flesh so that they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has united (joined together) let not man separate or divide.” Mark 10:6-9

God ordained marriage between a man and woman as exemplified with Adam and Eve in the Bible. We see their oneness in reigning and having dominion over God’s creations and even in their fall together God provided redemption for both of them.

The two becoming one requires both of them to enter into the oneness of the purposeful life and assignments God has originally mapped out for them before the foundation of the world. The husband and wife use the consistent powerful agreement they both have as one to establish and dominate their God-given platforms in this world. The husband and wife together achieve successful parenting and it was never designed to be a solo effort.
No matter the challenge God is always there to provide solutions when they both sincerely ask HIM.

As the two becoming one continues to communicate with God and one another and not hiding anything from each other they able to express their love to God, each other and to all around them.

For 33 years I have been continually privileged to have a true friend who I fell in love with and resulted in courtship 30 years ago and exactly 27 years ago today Olutoyin and I Adewumi became one. My Love for Olutoyin increases daily and together we are growing in love.
As we celebrate our wedding anniversary today we can testify that there are Blessings in two becoming one.
