The Blessing of Giving.

The Blessing of Giving.
“But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.” 2 Corinthians 9:6-8( KJV)
It’s better to give than to receive.
This is shocking for those who are looking only for personal gain.
The Christian values are different.
We need to know that we are not our own.
We are God’s property.
Everything we own doesn’t belong to us.
It belongs to Jesus.
We are His property because He redeemed us with His blood.
“While the earth remaineth, seedtime, and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” Genesis 8:22(KJV)
You harvest only what you sow.
Not something else.
What do we need to give?
Give our bodies as a willing sacrifice to the Lord…
We need to be involved in the ministry of God.
We have to love others:
“The love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.”
(Romans 5:5) KJV
We need to give from our possessions.
We need to give our time for His given assignments.
Including Prayers.
Jesus asked Peter in the garden of Gethsemane:
“Couldest not thou watch one hour?”
(Mark 14:37 KJV)
