Standard of Mercy and Truth

“Stop judging based on the superficial. First, you must embrace the standards of mercy and truth.” ‭John‬ ‭7:24‬ (TPT)‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

Double standards are not ethical.

The Pharisees said it was okay to rescue an animal that was in distress on the Sabbath day but very very wrong for Jesus to heal a man from his long-ailing sickness.

Double standard?

Have you ever experienced it?

What was okay for one person was not okay when it came to your turn.

God has always loved Mankind and has been consistently fair.

That’s why His Word binds God.

No double standard with Him

”Every good gift and every perfect (free, large, full) gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of all [that gives] light, in [the shining of] Whom there can be no variation [rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [as in an eclipse].” James 1:17 (AMPC )

Jesus Christ emphasized that there must be no double standard in our dealings with each other

Standard of mercy and truth must always prevail in our dealings with each other.

Furthermore, we are not to judge without having the complete picture on issues.

“For you’ve set yourselves up as judges of others based on outward appearances, but I certainly never judge others in that way.”John‬ ‭8:15‬ ‭(TPT‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬)

Be not hasty in coming into conclusion.

“For just as you judge and criticize and condemn others, you will be judged and criticized and condemned, and in accordance with the measure you [use to] deal out to others, it will be dealt out again to you.” Matthew 7:2 (AMPC)

When you have all the facts, let the standard of Mercy and Truth guide you.
