Simon Peter had brought along a sword.

by | Jan 22, 2021

“Simon Peter had brought along a sword. He now pulled it out and struck at the servant of the high priest. The servant’s name was Malchus, and Peter cut off his right ear. 11 Jesus told Peter, “Put your sword away. I must drink from the cup that the Father has given me.”
John 18:10-11 (CEV)

What are you bringing into the new year with your own limited mind?

Peter figured out that Jesus was in danger, and he had to help.
His help, like many humans today, is minimal.
Let me remind you again:
The phrase “Heaven help those who help themselves is not in the Bible.”
God wants you in a personal relationship with HIM.

When you are in CHRIST, you are totally dependent on HIM alone.
“For what the world says is wisdom is actually foolishness in God’s eyes. As it is written: The cleverness of the know-it-alls   becomes the trap that ensnares them.”
1 Corinthians 3:19 (TPT)

Your reliance on the flesh will always fail you.
No matter the challenge, lean and depend entirely on God to guide you through.
Don’t deceive yourself that you are a child of God and seek more power from the occult.

The Bible says you must Flee from all such work of darkness.
“Have nothing to do with the useless works that darkness produces. Instead, expose them for what they are.”
Ephesians 5:11 (GW)

Whatever challenge you may be facing, God can see you through.

Serve God Joyfully.
Trust HIM wholeheartedly.
Not one leg in the church and one in the world.
You are more than a conqueror through Christ that strengthens You. (Romans 8:37)
