Seven Things The Lord Hates – Part 2.
“These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.” (Proverbs 6:16-19) KJV
We had previously looked at the first two things that God hates.
Today, we will look at the rest of the things the Lord hates.
Hands that shed innocent blood.
Jesus said you don’t need to kill someone to be considered a murderer. You only need to say to your brother: ‘you fool,’ and you are considered a murderer.
Don’t Speak contemptuously to another person.
Let your words build up and not destroy.
A heart that devises wicked plans.
Did you ever consider taking revenge against someone?
Let God be your avenger.
Feet that are swift in running to evil.
Where are the places that you like to go to?
Are they good places?
Can you praise God there?
Please don’t forget that beautiful are the feet of those who go and share the Gospel!
A false witness who speaks lies.
Have you ever covered a friend by telling a lie?
Stop speaking half-truths.
One who sows discord among brethren.
“It’s only gossip,” says the devil to your ears.
There’s nothing wrong with gossiping about a brother or a sister from the Church?
Is that right?
Be more passionate about doing God’s will.
Avoid these things that the Lord hates.
Application for the Christian life:
Keep the commandments of God.
Be humble and submit your life daily to Him.
Leave your own desires and ideas and follow Jesus.
