Seven Things The Lord Hates – Part 1.
“These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.” (Proverbs 6:16-19) KJV
Did you know that God hates certain things?
The Wise King Solomon is talking about them in our verses today.

What are the things that God hates?
A proud look – PRIDE.
There are many forms of Pride.
For example, the Pride of intellect or the Pride of having power.
A form of Pride that, if it’s not understood as it should, will lead to some terrible consequences.
And then there is the Pride of patriotism.
This can lead to racism to disdain for others who are among us.
Another form of Pride is spiritual Pride.
A lying tongue.
Is the truth and only the truth on your lips?
No, You are not in a court of law, but that is not the only time you should speak the truth.
Are you known as a man of truth?
This means you don’t say only 50% true, but 100% true.
Don’t intentionally allow others to think something is true when it isn’t based on what you say.
It’s essential to be a man of truth because otherwise, you are a child of the devil and not of God.
Those are not my words.
Those are the words of Jesus from the Gospels.

Remember this:
It’s better that you suffer for the truth than the truth to suffer because of you.
