One Thing is Needful.
“But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:42. (KJV).
Do you serve God?
What do you do to serve Him?
Many people work hard for the Lord.
They do many good things.
They sacrificed their lives for God.
Yet, many will hear the words:
Go away, I do not know you!
Why will that happen?
Many do the works.
They do not listen to the word of God.
They follow their own mind.
Martha served Jesus.
She prepared food for Him.
Jesus appreciated that.
But when she complained,
Jesus said Mary chose the part to listen to Him.
Jesus could not prevent Mary from listening.
That was better than serving.
Can you listen and serve at the same time?
There is a time for everything.
It is much more profitable to listen.
Listen and also do what you have heard.
Application to the Christian life:
Listen to the word of God.
Submit to Him.
Don’t just follow your mind.
