My times are in Your hands.

My times are in Your hands.

“My times are in Your hands; deliver me from the hands of my foes and those who pursue me and persecute me.” Psalm 31:15 (AMPC)

Did you look at your watch? Or look at the calendar?

That’s what most of us do when we’re asked what’s the time ?.

We are all familiar with chronological time. This is time measured on our watches and our calendars. Chronological time is linear: past, present, and future. It is one-way time. We cannot go back in time, except in the movies. The present is always before us,  sometimes tantalizingly uncertain.

The Bible uses the word Chronos for this kind of time.

The Bible is a book about chronological time, but it also speaks of another kind of time,

Kairos time.

Jesus on one occasion said  His time had not come. (John 7:6)

The Gospels refer to the fullness of time. Kairos time has to do with fulfilling and completing.

This is God’s view of time, and it is different from ours.

God is concerned for the time you are ready for Him

Or the time at which the meaning of His assignment for your life can be understood, or when His Word gives you adequate knowledge about your identity and destiny.

Revelation!!!

God’s time takes place against the backdrop of eternity.

Kairos time is God’s time, not ours.

Watches are not ideal for telling this kind of time.

What is your time in God’s timing?

Where are you in the program of God for your purposeful life?

Today can you say as David said in our text

“My life, my every moment, my destiny—

It’s all in your hands. So I know you can deliver me

from those who persecute me relentlessly.” Psalm 31:15 The (TPT)

If you don’t know your Time and Purpose, you might be sitting, wining and dining with the enemy

What is your Time?

When is your Time?
