My spirit shall not always strive with man

“And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.” Genesis 6:3
I went to pick up some groceries and since I was alone in the car I decided to put the few bags in the front seat. As I started driving the beeping sound for not putting on the seat belt on the passenger side went on. Initially, I did not realize that the weight of the bags could trigger of the alarm. I decided that by the time I get to the next traffic stoplight I would rearrange the bags. Surprisingly in less than two minutes, the beeping stopped and it dawned on me that if it were a human being that sat there and ignored the seat belt sign it will just stop warning the person for just that period of time?
I then realize that sometimes that’s what happens to mankind when the Holy Spirit is trying to get your attention and you don’t listen it will not continually strive for your attention.
In what ways has God been trying to get across to you and you keep ignoring HIM?
We must constantly learn and respond to the Holy Spirit as HE is speaking to us.
Ignoring Him will make HIM go silent and will not force you to do the right thing.
Don’t allow self-deception to fool you when God has spoken to you.
God may not always struggle to do the miraculous to get your attention.
For traffic offense, the law may catch up but the danger is there for that passenger who does not put on the seat belt.
Much more the consequences are there for a child of God that ignores what the Holy Spirit is asking you to do.
Don’t suppress the Spirit, and don’t stifle those who have a word from the Master 1 Thessalonians 5:19
