Live out your dream! – Part 2

by | Aug 4, 2017

“Now when they saw him afar off, even before he came near them, they conspired against him to kill him. Then they said to one another, “Look, this dreamer is coming! Come therefore, let us now kill him and cast him into some pit; and we shall say, ‘Some wild beast has devoured him.’ We shall see what will become of his dreams!” (Genesis 37:18-20)
Gideon having had an encounter with God knew that even though he started out timid when he heard the narration of the dream of the enemy’s camp he knew it was time to act on it and not to go to sleep again. He seized that momentous revelation and it turned out to be victorious to him.
When Pharaoh shared his dream with Joseph and he heard the interpretation, he seized the moment and acted upon his dream.  He did not go back to sleep, but he took steps based on the revelation which, by the way, started with the appointment of Joseph who always believed in his dream.
Resting and meditation time is good. So also receiving prophecy after prophecy is also good, but you must act out in obedience what God has told you. Moving round prophets and churches for confirmation and a second, third and fourth opinion is not living out your dream.
Paul received in a dream the directive to come to Macedonia and help. He acted it out by going. Even when dreams and visions told him of hardships on the way to preaching the Gospel at Rome, he set out trusting in the sovereignty of the Almighty God.
Act now! Do not delay! Take a step of faith today in that which God has revealed to you to do. God never gives us the complete picture at the beginning, but once you know the purpose and the destination the step by step direction will be revealed.
He will be your driver as you obey His directives. He will distinguish you as you live out your God given dream today! His resources and provisions will follow as you obey.
