Keep the commandment of God.

Keep the commandment of God.
“And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of the Lord thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the Lord have established thy kingdom upon Israel forever. But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the Lord hath sought a man after his own heart, and the Lord hath commanded him to be captain over his people because thou hast not kept that which the Lord commanded thee.” 1 Sam. 13:13-14.(KJV).
God commanded Saul to bring an offering, but Saul had to wait for Samuel.
Samuel did not arrive on time.
The people became impatient and started to leave the gathering.
Saul also became anxious, and he offered the burnt offering.
Saul made two mistakes.
He became anxious.
He made the offering.
Are you making the same mistakes today?
Why did he become anxious?
The people started to leave the gathering.
He felt he had to do something.
What should he have done?
He should have trusted God.
He should have been patient.
He should have spoken to the people.
Encouraged them to trust and to wait.
He lost his kingdom!
What do you do when your friends tell you God does not exist?
Maybe God will not fulfill His promises.
Do you get impatient with God?
HE is not responding?
Watch out.
You may miss out on God with your impatience.
Don’t act to please people.
Application to the Christian life:
Trust God and be patient.
Resist your friends’ intimidation.
Be like Jesus and follow Him.
