It’s not always experience

by | Oct 4, 2017

“I kept thinking, ‘Experience will tell.  The longer you live, the wiser you become. ‘But I see I was wrong—it’s God’s Spirit in a person, the breath of the Almighty One that makes wise human insight possible. “ Job 32: 7-8
Often we say experience is the best teacher but that’s not always true.
You can learn from the wealth of knowledgeable information and take better decisions rather than learning through what you experience.
However a much better way to learn and take decision is to completely rely on the Holy Spirit to reveal to you what you need to do.
Elihu in the above scriptures listened to all the older friends of Job had to say including Job himself and then accurately discern that it is what the spirit of God reveals it the ultimate solution.
Today what are you relying on to take crucial decisions in your life?
Cultivate the personal friendship of the Holy Spirit so that it can guide you and lead you into all the truths you need to know.

“I [the Lord] will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you.” Psalm 32:8
Take the counsel of God rather than just depending only on your experience.
“You will hear a voice behind you saying, “This is the way. Follow it, whether it turns to the right or to the left.” Isaiah 30:21
Don’t rely entirely on your knowledge and experience,
Let the Holy Spirit be the Lead in your decision making process.
