Double Standards

by | Apr 3, 2017

“For if the correct time for circumcising your son falls on the Sabbath, you go ahead and do it so as not to break the law of Moses. So why should you be angry with me for healing a man on the Sabbath?” John 7:23
Are you engaged in double standards like the Pharisees ?condemning but on the other hand justifying yourself for your own actions? It was okay for them to break the law by doing  circumcision on sabbath but not good for Jesus to heal.
You can identify the wrong dressing in that Sister but are all the clothes in your wardrobe compliant with the Holy Spirit guidelines? You know all the faults in that brother why he can not be a good husband to that sister, are you faithful in your own marriage?
At your workplace you know all the bad workers and if an X-ray is done on your own output will it pass the productivity test ? You know the stingy couple that doesn’t give are you complete in your own givings as God directs you?
Jesus solution was to focus on the purpose which God has sent Him by healing the sick man.
Your focus today too is to do what God has assigned you to do.
Don’t be an hypocrite or join the club of the naysayers.
Determine today to be like your Savior who went about doing good.
“And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power .Then Jesus went around doing good and all who were oppressed by the devil, For God was with him..”Acts 10:38
Examine yourself that you have first healed yourself of what you are about to point out and correct in another person.
Don’t be an hypocrite. Don’t use double standard.
