Do not lie to one another

“Do not lie to one another, for you have stripped off the old (unregenerate) self with its evil practices, And have clothed yourselves with the new [spiritual self], which is [ever in the process of being] renewed and remolded into [fuller and more perfect [a] knowledge upon] knowledge after the image (the likeness) of Him Who created it.” Colossians 3:9-10(AMPC)

Jesus Christ is the truth.

No matter what as a child of God no lie should be found in you.

Many times Christians give many excuses to lie.

There is no justification for lying.

‘While you live, tell the truth and shame the devil!’?

“Tell the truth and let the devil be ashamed.”

This has been an idiomatic expression for centuries past that even unbeliever knows and sometimes practice.

“Since God has so generously let us in on what he is doing, we’re not about to throw up our hands and walk off the job just because we run into occasional hard times. We refuse to wear masks and play games. We don’t maneuver and manipulate behind the scenes. And we don’t twist God’s Word to suit ourselves. Rather, we keep everything we do and say out in the open, the whole truth on display, so that those who want to can see and judge for themselves in the presence of God.” 2 Corinthians 4:2 (MSG)

There is no excuse for lying as a child of God.

No white lie!!!

No Green Lie!!!

No Black Lie!!!

“and lying. Lay aside your old Adam-self with its masquerade and disguise.” Colossians 3:9 The Passion Translation (TPT)

Simon Peter had brought along a sword.

“Simon Peter had brought along a sword. He now pulled it out and struck at the servant of the high priest. The servant’s name was Malchus, and Peter cut off his right ear. 11 Jesus told Peter, “Put your sword away. I must drink from the cup that the Father has given me.”
