Cleanse your hands… Purify your hearts
“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.” James 4:7-8(KJV)
Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double-minded.
Wash your hands, you sinners, and let your hearts be filled with God alone to make them pure and true to him.
Clean up your lives, you sinners, and clear your minds, you doubters
Wash your hands, you sinners; and purify your [unfaithful] hearts, you double-minded [people].
Double Jeopardy!!!
Your hands and Your Heart
Which controls what?
Your hands direct your heart.
Or.
Your heart dictates to your hands.
Sinner and Doubter?
Are you both?
The Sinner to wash their hands
The doubter to remain focused on God.
Without Holiness, you can not see God.
“In every relationship be swift to choose peace over competition, and run swiftly toward holiness, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord” Hebrews 12:14(TPT)
Only those who say it and don’t doubt get results.
“Listen to the truth I speak to you: Whoever says to this mountain with great faith and does not doubt, ‘Mountain, be lifted up and thrown into the midst of the sea,’ and believes that what he says will happen, it will be done.” Mark 11:23 (TPT)
Are you very quick to do with your hands what your heart directs?
Great.
Live a pure life.
Believe what God says in your heart.
You will continuously experience His Blessings.
The enemy will flee from you.
That’s one sure way of submitting yourself to God.
Who are you pledging allegiance to?
It’s a function of what you do with your hands
and your heart.
