Don’t argue on the way home.

Don’t argue on the way home.
“Then he sent his brothers off and told them, “Don’t argue on the way home!” Genesis 45:24 (CEV)
After Joseph had revealed himself to his brothers, he urged them to go and bring their father.
However, he knew his brothers very well and told them not to argue on the way home.
He possibly knew argument may not get them home as one family.
Do you enjoy getting into arguments?
Do Arguments often laced with pride of a righteous know all sometimes make you feel good?
You have “superior arguments, “I hear you say.

“Stay away from all the foolish arguments of the immature, for these disputes will only generate more conflict. For a true servant of our Lord, Jesus will not be argumentative but gentle toward all and skilled in helping others see the truth, having great patience toward the immature. Then with meekness, you’ll be able to carefully enlighten those who argue with you so they can see God’s gracious gift of repentance and be brought to the truth.” 2 Timothy 2:23-25 (TPT)
Husband and wife, please avoid arguments.
Especially after having received a revelation or directive from the Lord.
Don’t argue on how to implement it.
Wait further on God to give you the step by step of what to do.
Friends, family members, business partners, please avoid arguments.
Get your views across calmly and take time to be in each other’s shoes before you respond.
Try to get along with each other without compromising your faith.
“If you know someone who’s not a Christian, don’t try to argue with them.
Nobody was ever argued into the kingdom of Heaven. Anything someone can argue you into, you can be argued out of.” Adrian Rogers
Don’t fight.
Don’t quarrel along the way!
Don’t argue on your way home. ( especially when driving )

In the Scriptures, God says about him.

In the Scriptures, God says about him.
“In the Scriptures, God says about him, “I am sending my messenger ahead to get things ready for you.” Matthew‬ 11:10‬ CEV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
What is God saying about you?
God has given us the scriptures to guide you and me in our purposeful Life
It is pertinent for us to see from the scriptures which Bible Character our current season of Life is patterned after.
Jesus Christ challenged the Bible scholars of his days to search the scriptures about Him.
”Everything you read points to me… ”John 5:39
He was then at a phase of His ordained Life.
God still speaks to us today, using the Bible Characters to guide us in perfecting our walk with Himself.
In our text, some disciples were asking about John the Baptist.
He referred them to the scriptures.
Do you know which Bible Character mirrors the phase of your Life now?
Learn from what they did right and prayerfully avoid what they did wrong.
Jesus Christ is the perfect example for all times and seasons.
All Scriptures are given to daily guide us into living an overcoming life.
What are the scriptures saying about you?

The Lord rewards each of us according to what we do

“I heard God say two things: “I am powerful,” “and I am very kind.”
The Lord rewards each of us according to what we do.”
Psalms‬ 62:11-12‬ CEV‬‬‬‬‬‬
What are you doing now?
Is that what God has asked you to do?
Remember, God will reward you for what you do.
God, in the beginning, told Adam to have dominion, be fruitful, and multiply.
Work hard at whatever you do.
Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might,
Whatever you do, do well,
As you work, put the zest in it to glorify God.
“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord, you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.” Colossians 3:23-24
Let the light of God shine through you as you handle the daily assignments he has asked to do.
” Do all things without grumbling or questioning, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world.” Philippians 2:14-15
Indeed, there is a reward from God in all that you do.
“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9

The Angel who has delivered me from all harm

The Angel who has delivered me from all harm
“The Angel who has delivered me from all harm —may he bless these boys. May they be called by my name and the names of my fathers Abraham and Isaac, and may they increase greatly on the earth.”
Genesis 48:16 ( NIV)
The Angel who has delivered me from all harm
And his Angel has kept me safe.
The redeeming Angel [that is, the Angel the Redeemer—not a created being but the Lord Himself] Who has redeemed me continually from every evil,
The Angel who delivered me from every evil,
As you start a new week today, the Almighty God is reassuring you repeatedly that He will keep you safe.
Jacob, that gave this testimony, experienced this all-round protection; hence he could testify of it.
No matter the plot against you or the ambush the enemy has cleverly and even secretly planned against, you will surely fail in Jesus’s Name.
The gang up against you has failed just like the counsel of Ahithophel failed against David (2 Samuel 17:14-16)
“He will never slumber nor sleep;
he is the Guardian-God for his people, Israel.
Jehovah himself will watch over you;
he’s always at your side to shelter you safely in his presence.
He’s protecting you from all danger both day and night.
He will keep you from every form of evil or calamity
as he continually watches over you.” Psalm 121:4-7(TPT)
Go about your God-given assignments today:
Knowing that HE is watching over you.
His Angel is watching over you 24/7
He will deliver you in every situation as you put your trust and call on Him.

Act in Fear of the Lord.

Act in Fear of the Lord.
“And he commanded them, saying, “Thus you shall act in the fear of the Lord, faithfully and with a loyal heart: ” 2 Chronicles 19:9
Amongst the many reforms that Jehoshaphat had to do was appoint some of the Levites and priests and some of Israel’s chief fathers.
They handled the judgment of the Lord and controversies.
However, their compass was the fear of the Lord.
The King, in challenging them to do their work right, asked them to fear the Lord.
When we too act in our daily lives with the fear of the Lord, we will make the right decisions concerning our relationship with Him and with other people.
Apostle Paul spoke about his own navigating compass too…. “I always strive to have a conscience without offense toward God and men.”
Acts 24: 16
How are you looking at issues today?
Do you readily know the mind of God on the issues you are facing?
Once you know God’s mind, are you faithful and loyal to stand on what is right?
Paul gave the rare right insight into how he acts in fear of God.
He ensured that Both God and men cannot fault him.
He was steadfastly faithful and loyal to God and fair to all men.
What can we say about you?
Do you act in the fear of the Lord?
Are you Faithful to Him?

Are you like the Hebrew children that said, “If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O King. But if not, let it be known to you, O King, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.” Daniel 3:17-18
Those three Hebrew children responded to the King with the fear of God in their heart,
Faithful and loyal even to the point of death, but God came through for them.
As you act in fear of the Lord, HE will show up for you.

Joseph Cried

Joseph Cried
Joseph’s brothers realized what their father’s death could mean. So they thought, “What if Joseph holds a grudge against us? What if he decides to pay us back for all the evil we did to him?” “They sent a messenger to Joseph to say, “Before your father died, he commanded us, “‘This is what you should say to Joseph, “I’m begging you to forgive the crime and the sin your brothers committed against you. What they did to you was very evil.”‘ So now, please forgive our crime, because we are servants of your father’s God.” Joseph cried when he got their message.” Genesis‬ 50:15-17‬ GW‬‬‬‬‬‬
What do you think made Joseph cried?
He was heartbroken that despite all that he has done for his brothers, they were still lying.
Have you been in that place where you kept giving and giving but not only taken for granted, but the very people you are helping are still lying about you?
Can this person ever change?
It could be your spouse, partner, family, co-worker, or fellow church member.
Joseph brothers had a history of betrayal and conspiracy against their brother.
After their father’s death and the fact that all the lies to Jacob about Joseph’s animal killing became known, you will expect that they will live truthfully and become true men for once.
Remember, they tried to spin Joseph when he initially asked them who they were when they first came to buy the grains.
Joseph cried.
What betrayal and failed promises of change are causing you to cry?
Joseph knew God’s purpose for his life, and he did not allow their lies though painful, derail Gods’ ultimate plan.
Whatever the challenge you face from close people like Joseph’s brothers, please remain focused on what God has raised you up to do.

Are you like Joseph’s brother in this story, lying because of the fear of your past action is making you lie to cover another lie?
David did some lying too but came clean before Nathan and after that changed his way.
Peter betrayed the Lord, but he repented and changed too.
As the prototype of Jesus, the very people He came to save betrayed Him and asked him to be crucified and the real thief released.
That Grace to fully repent and change is available
As for you, Joseph, God will always vindicate you.
Jesus Christ fulfilled His Purpose.
So you will too.
It’s okay to cry, but please remain in the purpose of the Almighty God.
The Grace to Forgive and do God’s purpose is also available for you.
