An Understanding Heart.

An Understanding Heart.

“Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this day thy so great a people.” 1 Kings 3:9.(KJV).
Solomon asked God for an understanding heart.
God gave him wisdom as well.
Why is an understanding heart so important?
When you understand something, you can make better decisions.
Was it necessary for you to be so upset with what your friend did to you?
You may even agree with your friend if you understand the actions’ reasons.
If your friend does not feel well, you may have more patience.
You are also able to differentiate between good and bad.
Pray to God for better understanding.
Empathize rather than judge.
Put Yourself in That Person’s Shoes.
The Holy Spirit can help you.
Whenever you ask HIM.
Application to the Christian life:
Be more understanding.

Call Upon The Lord.

Call Upon The Lord.
“I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.” 2 Sam. 22:4.(KJV).
God delivered David from his enemies.
David sang a song honoring God.
He recognized the marvelous thing God had done for him.
David did not just call on God for help.
He thanked God for the help.
He honored God for His help.
He humiliated himself before God.
David realized he could do nothing without God.
Do you realize you can do nothing without God’s help? Do you thank God for delivering you from evil?
Jesus Healed Ten lepers. ( Luke 17:11-19)
Only One came back to give thanks.
Be that One person today that returned to thank God.
Application to the Christian life:
Honor and Praise God.
He is good and mighty.
He helps in need.
He also leads and guides you.
Thank Him for helping you.

God Will Justify You.

God Will Justify You.
“The Lord therefore be judge, and judge between me and thee, and see, and plead my cause, and deliver me out of your hand.” 1 Sam. 24:15.(KJV).
Saul wanted to kill David unjustly.
David saved Saul’s life.
David told Saul that God would be the judge between them.
Do you have enemies?
Maybe someone who is always nasty to you?
Is someone always opposing you?
Is there someone mocking you?
David had to flee for his life.
However, David knew God would avenge him.
He had to trust God.
He learned not to hate Saul.
Don’t walk in hatred.
Jesus was crucified.
Even while on the Cross:
He asked His Father to forgive them.
Can your challenges be compared to that?
Allow God to be the judge.
He will do right to you.
Learn to forgive.
Trust God to be the judge.
He knows everything.

Twisting The Truth.

Twisting The Truth.
“And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die.” (Gen. 3:4).
Why did Eve believe Satan?
Because he told the Truth!
Twisted Truth.!!
The Truth is still being twisted today.
Look at that situation again.
The conversation between Eve and the serpent.
The serpent asked questions.
He used God’s Word to create doubt in Eve.
The serpent said: “Yea, hath God said.”
he convinced Eve he knew what he was talking about.
It was easy to let her act against the command of God.
Be careful of your friends telling you “Truths.”
Be wary of friends judging your Christian life.
Be mostly afraid of those using the Truth to create confusion.
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15(KJV)
Daily learn from God.
Don’t base your decisions on only the Truths you are told.
“Half education” is still dangerous
Search the Bible yourself.
“These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” Acts 17:11(KJV)
Personally hold God to His Word.
In the secular, you are encouraged to ask questions if you need more clarity.
The Holy Spirit will answer and guide you to the Truth.
Take your time with your decisions.

He will protect you.
Search God and hear His voice.
Recognize the voice of God.

The Lord Reveals Himself Through His Word.

The Lord Reveals Himself Through His Word.
“And Manoah said unto his wife, We shall surely die because we have seen God.” Judges 13:22 (KJV).
Manoah and his wife had an encounter with God.
He was afraid.
He thought they would die.
However, they did not.
The Merciful God did not do what he thought.
Instead, HE pointed them to His Word.
God is still revealing Himself today.
He reveals Himself through His Word.
“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”
John 1:14(KJV)
Sin separates us from God.
Jesus gave His life for us.
He reveals Himself to us through His word.
He talks to us and tells us what to do daily.
No matter your personal encounter.
Locate His message to you through His Word.
He wants to guide you.
