Glorify God At All Times.

Glorify God At All Times.
“And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron, because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.” Numbers 20:12.(KJV).
Moses was upset because of the behavior of the Israelites when they asked for water.
God commanded Moses to speak to the rock to let the water out.
Moses was upset.
He hit the rock with his staff, saying: “Hear now, ye rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock?” (Numbers 20:10).
Moses did not talk to the rock as God commanded.
He took the honor by saying, “must we fetch.”
It is understandable to feel frustrated, even to get angry when stressed.
When everything seems to go wrong, people pressure us to do something.
It is dangerous to be upset with God.
Neither Moses nor Aaron entered the promised land because of one moment of weakness.
Do not do things that will warrant :
“you will not enter the Kingdom of God.”
Glorify God At All Times.
In All Situation.
Don’t be provoked to speak wrongly.
Application to the Christian life:

The children of Israel saw many incredible miracles.
However, when they faced a fresh challenge.
They panicked.
Don’t be like them.
Remember, Revisit your testimonies.

“Wouldn’t it be better for us to return to Egypt?”

“Wouldn’t it be better for us to return to Egypt?”
“Then the whole community began weeping aloud, and they cried all night. Their voices rose in a great chorus of protest against Moses and Aaron. “If only we had died in Egypt or even here in the wilderness!” they complained. “Why is the Lord taking us to this country only to have us die in battle? Our wives and our little ones will be carried off as plunder! Wouldn’t it be better for us to return to Egypt?” Then they plotted among themselves, “Let’s choose a new leader and go back to Egypt!”
Numbers 14:1-4 (NLT)
Earlier in Numbers Chapter 13.
The people of Israel just received two reports.
Majority report based on exaggerated fears.
Minority report with faith based on the Promise of God.
God appointed Moses to lead the Israelites into the promised land.
Since they met Moses, the Israelites experienced the guidance God gave through Moses.
They saw miracles.
Despite these experiences, fear gripped them.
The Israelites decided to abandon Moses and choose their own leader.
Why?
They were afraid.
What Joshua and Caleb were saying did not make common sense.
They can not figure out how it could be done.
We often do the same.
We follow our own heads.
We do not listen to the word of God.
We do not wait for His Promise to manifest.
We chose a new “Leading Thought.”
We reason and talk ourselves out of His Promise.
What challenges are you facing today?
Whose report is guiding your decision?
Don’t abandon the promise of God.
Don’t return to your old ways.
God is Faithful.
He Never Fails.
Application to the Christian life:
Recognize the voice of God.
Hear His voice and listen.
Obey Him.

Can You See The Angel Of God?

Can You See The Angel Of God?
“And when the ass saw the angel of the Lord, she fell down under Balaam: and Balaam’s anger was kindled, and he smote the ass with a staff.” Numbers 23:27(KJV).
When last did you see an angel of God?
Never?
Are you sure?
How do you know?
Balaam could not see the angel.
The ass did.
Balaam even whipped the ass for saving him.
Balaam did not know the ass saved him.
God uses other people to speak to us.
That person represents an angel.
Do you recognize the angel?
Do you take exception because of a reprimand?
Maybe he gave you good advice?
It was not the advice you wanted to hear.
God can also use you as an angel.
When you obey Him to save a life.
To avert a disaster.
Angels are still on assignment.
Allow the Holy Spirit to use you.
Application to the Christian life:

“Come, and let us sell him to the Ishmeelites, and let not our hand be upon him; for he is our brother and our flesh. And his brethren were content.” Gen. 37:27. (KJV).
Did you know that the Israelites would not have been a nation if Joseph was not sold as a slave?
Joseph served Potiphar, a servant of the Pharaoh.
Due to a woman’s lust, the innocent Joseph was sent to jail.
Was that necessary?
If Joseph did not meet the baker and the butler, he would not have revealed the dreams of Pharaoh.
He revealed the dreams of Pharaoh, and he was set second in charge of Egypt.
He could invite his family to join him in Egypt as second in charge.
They were only a few people when they arrived, but they were fruitful.
They became a mighty nation.
If they did not go to Egypt, they might have died of hunger or gotten married to other nations and scattered worldwide.
They would not have developed into a nation.
Most times, We do not understand God’s intentions.
Trust Him to keep His promises.
Application to the Christian life:
Trust God in everything.
God has a purpose for you.
Your God Given Dreams?
They Will Be Fulfiled.

Is God With You?

Is God With You?

David did not have an easy life.
He faced several challenges.
He trusted God for solutions.

Out of his lineage, Jesus was born.
Earlier, we saw this testimony in Joseph too.
“The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful
man;…”Genesis 39:2(NKJV)
