How can God help you?

How can God help you?
“My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.” Daniel 6:22(KJV).
God saved Daniel from the lions.
Did it just happen because Daniel prayed for protection?
Daniel gave the reason why God saved him.
Daniel was innocent before God as well as before the king.
Can we ask God’s blessings if we do harm to someone else?
Why would God help us when we do not serve Him?
Why would He protect us when we do not obey Him?
What do you do when your friends want you to do something you should not do?
What do you do at work when your boss expects you to do something the wrong way?
What do you choose when you can make extra money accepting a bribe?
When we honor God and humble ourselves before Him, we do not even have to ask Him for help.
He will do it anyway.
When we are humble, we ask His help because we will not take His help for granted.
We deserve nothing.
It is all His grace.
What are you doing daily?
Will it allow God to always be your helper?
Application to the Christian life:
Be humble and innocent before God.
Resist sin.
Obey Him and follow Jesus.

Let God help you.

Let God help you.
“Say not thou, I will recompense evil, but wait on the Lord, and he shall save thee.” Proverbs 20:22(KJV).
It is natural to treat evil with evil.
The problem is that if I take revenge, you will retake revenge.
It becomes an endless war.
The fight will never stop.
Worse still, that is a natural approach.
Taking revenge by yourself is not spiritual.
It is not God’s way.
You are, first and foremost, a spiritual person.
Allow God to handle it.
“Beloved, don’t be obsessed with taking revenge but leave that to God’s righteous justice. For the Scriptures say:
“Vengeance is mine, and I will repay,” says the Lord. And:
If your enemy is hungry, buy him lunch! Win him over with kindness.
For Your surprising generosity will awaken his conscience, and God will reward you with favor. Never let evil defeat you, but defeat evil with good.” Romans 12:19-21 (TPT)
Trust God to fight your battles.
God saw what appeared to be evil happen.
God has the total complete picture.
Learn from the experience what God wants you to learn.
He will take revenge for you.
Then He will bless you for submitting to His will.

“O, my soul.”

“O, my soul.”
“Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” (Psalm 103:1-5) KJV
There will be moments in our lives when we don’t feel like praising and blessing God.
But our feelings should not determine whether or not we praise God. That’s why we find the psalmist is saying:
“O, my soul.”
He is urging himself to bless God!
After he has done this, he talks about God’s forgiveness.
What does the psalmist teach us about forgiveness?
Forgiveness comes from God alone.
In verses 3-5, he speaks about sorrows and blessings.
What is he talking about?
God will take away our sorrows.
Guilt is taken from us.
Diseases are healed.
We are no longer under the curse of destruction.
David is also talking about the blessings that God gives us
God’s favor
Tender mercies
Good things
Our God is amazing!
We have to trust Him!
Please remember these verses when you don’t feel like it
or are not in the mood to praise or bless God!

Abimbola Adewumi Alabi Bless The Lord.
Application for the Christian life:
Praise God in all your doings,
Even when circumstances are difficult.
Keep Trusting God.

Keep the ways of the Lord.

Keep the ways of the Lord.
“For I have kept the ways of the Lord and have not wickedly departed from my God.” Ps18:21.(KJV).
Are you keeping the ways of the Lord?
David could praise God for helping him.
“HE delivered me from my strong enemy.” (Ps.18:17. KJV).
Why could David praise God?
God helped him from a strong enemy.
Why did God help Him?
David kept the ways of the Lord.
Even with challenging situations
David remained loyal to God.
David resisted evil.
He did not ‘wickedly depart’ from God.
Do you want to find favor with God?
Do you want God to save you from strong enemies?
“I will follow his commands, and I’ll not sin by ceasing to follow him, no matter what.” Psalms 18:21 (TPT)
No Matter what !!!.
Follow His Instructions.
Let the Holy Spirit always be your guide.
Application to the Christian life:
Remain faithful to God.
Keep His ways.
Resist evil.

Praise God for His Goodness.

Praise God for His Goodness.
“O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.” Isaiah 25:1.(KJV).
Isaiah praised God for doing wonderful and beautiful things.
Was that because God did something to prevent Isaiah from going through challenges?
No.
Isaiah realized the wonderful things God did from the beginning until then.
What God did at the beginning and what God said initially was still valid.
What God said and did remains the truth.
God remained faithful.
Can you also see that God remains faithful?
Are you going through a tough time?
Maybe it seemed as if God had forgotten you.
Do not fear.
God is nearby.
He knows everything and is faithful.
He will be faithful to His promises.
Only when you have learned what you need to learn from this experience will you see how God helped you.
Remain faithful to God as He is to you.
Praise God for His goodness,
Even though you do not see it now.
Can you do that?
God wants to know that you still trust Him.
Application to the Christian life:
Praise God for His goodness,
Even though you may struggle.
Trust God.
He will help.

Put Away All Bitterness.

Put Away All Bitterness.
“Let all bitterness and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice.” Ephesians 4:31 (KJV)
This is sometimes a challenging thing to do!!!.
Do you know that anger is the result of unfulfilled expectations?
Chose to be free from bitterness.
You have to desire to be free from it.
You must stop feeding the anger.
Stop entertaining thoughts that constantly remind you of the hurt.
Ask God for Grace to love like Jesus.
The bitterness will disappear if you refuse to feed it.
Sometimes you have to do away with friends that keep repeating the dead matter.
Many benefits are associated with being liberated from bitterness.
Unforgiveness yokes you with the person you have animosity against.
Choose to be free from bitterness.
Now is the time to release anyone that you are holding unforgiveness against.
Pray that God will bless the person who hurt you.
When you start praying for someone, you care about that person.
Do something good for the person who did wrong you.
Why?
Jesus told us to be good to each other.
Show mercy.
Love your enemies.
Don’t forget, as a Christian, you are a citizen of heaven.
Yes, you can live without bitterness.
“Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled.” Hebrews 12:15 KJV
Practice this truth in your life!
Application for the Christian life:
Stop feeling offended by things others do to you.
Look at issues from God’s perspective.
Forgive those who hurt you.
