Sow the Seed of Forgiveness

“Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.”
And they divided His garments and cast lots.” Luke 23:34
Jesus demonstrated this rightly sowing by sowing forgiveness, which culminated in our forgiveness and ultimate salvation.
“ Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?”
Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven. Matthew 18: 21-22
Have you  kept tally of offences up to 490 times!!!
We are to daily embrace and practice forgiveness  as a way of life.
Don’t keep tally of offences that people have done against you.
Forgive and release them.
“ Then he knelt down and cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not charge them with this sin.” And when he had said this, he fell asleep.” Acts 7:60
Stephen sowed forgiveness to the people who wrongly accused and killed him and this act of sowing forgiveness contributed in the salvation of Saul of Tarsus that later became Apostle Paul.
Forgive ALL that has offended you.
Today sow the seed of Forgiveness it is surely for your own good

What Are You Sowing?

“While the earth remains,
Seedtime and harvest,
Cold and heat,
Winter and summer,
And day and night
Shall not cease.”   Genesis 8:22
This law is neither limited to agriculture nor tithes and offerings.
It is a universal law that governs all of life from the day God declared it to be so.
Apostle Paul also stated in Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived God is not mocked for you reap whatever you sow.
The Yoruba’s proverbs have a similar adage about a farmer who actually planted 100 seedlings of yams and kept boasting that he planted 200, when the harvest time comes he can only harvest the real 100 and harvest another fake 100.Then it will be obvious for everybody to see because at harvest time the yams will be on the ground for all to see and not in the soil where you can make claims that can not be confirmed.
Sowing is what we do every second of our lives.
When you interact with people what are your thoughts towards them?
Are you radiating a positive energy or negative one?
Every seed earns the right to have a harvest.
When we sow the right kind of seed we will surely get the right kind of harvest.
“He who observes the wind will not sow,
And he who regards the clouds will not reap.” Ecclesiastes 11:4
Sometimes the circumstance surrounding you may not be “right” but keep sowing the kind of harvest you desire to harvest.
As you go on with your life today please take a moment to reflect … what type of seed are you sowing?

Prudent in speech, and a handsome man; and the LORD is with him.

Then one of the young men said, “Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite who is a skillful musician, a mighty man of valor, a warrior, one prudent in speech, and a handsome man; and the LORD is with him.”  1 Samuel 16:18
David’s other attributes included been prudent in speech
He thinks before he speaks.
Some of us speak first before thinking.
Prudence is defined as showing discretion or shrewdness in the management of affairs, skill and good judgment in the use of resources frugality caution or circumspection with…
How is your manner of speaking? Do you speak before thinking?
Remember Nabal, Abigail’s foolish husband (1 Samuel 25.)  He was regarded as foolish because he just spoke anyhow.  Don’t be like that.
David was also described as a handsome man.
Appearance matters before God.
Make yourself presentable before God and fellow human beings. We were all created in the image of God. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so you are wonderfully made and likewise carry yourself as a true representative of God even physically.
Mosses said if God’s presence did not go with him he would not move.
David obviously enjoyed the presence of God even before his public presentation as an anointed king of Israel.
Even when he fell into sin (Psalm 51) he describes how terribly he felt outside God.
Make sure that in all that you do in life God’s presence is with you
As we see in David’s testimony above the LORD is with him.
God is with you as you obey him and walk in his presence
You need to cultivate the habit of enjoying God’s presence.
If God be for you who can be against you? Nobody.
Walk with HIM today in all you do

Whose son are you? …A servant’s Testimony.

“One of the servants said to Saul, “One of Jesse’s sons from Bethlehem is a talented harp player. Not only that–he is a brave warrior, a man of war, and has good judgment. He is also a fine-looking young man, and the LORD is with him.” 1 Samuel 16: 18
God’s ways are not our ways;
We discovered that God did not even give the above description of the qualities HE had seen in David through Samuel. Rather it came from a “servant” whose name was not even mentioned in the bible.
This is a lesson for leaders God watches and uses whoever obeys Him.
Heaven will be full of surprises.
Whose son are you?
Are you truly born again? We call you brother or Sister but God knows who you are. If you are not His son He knows.
What skills do you have?
You are born with talents and potentials but you must develop yourself.
David from this account was just put in charge of the sheep but he developed his skills .He was the 8th child, seven brothers were preferred before him but that did not deter him from his destiny.
Dictionary defines valor as “ strength of mind or spirit that enables somebody to encounter danger with firmness, personal bravery”
The Bible says as a man thinketh so is he.
David had great thoughts about himself, which became manifested.
Are you talented?
Add bravery to your talents and become who God has purposed you to be.
We will look at the other qualities of David at another time. Today don’t hide your talents be brave about it.
You don’t know who is going to give your testimony at the right place or using today’s parlance God is about to put in a good word for you
Certainly God is watching.

Where is the Perfect Man?

“Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.
But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.  But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord: he is their strength in the time of trouble. “  Psalm 37:37-39
Is there a perfect man today?
Your likely answer could possibly be “Nobody is perfect”
However have you seen a peaceful man or woman around?
Have you seen an upright man around?
Observe around you today and look for that man / woman with maturity of character who has consistency of character
Can one rely on your words?
Do you remain true from morning till evening or your character changes with the weather?
The power of sin pulls down but Apostle Paul says, “Sin shall not have dominion over you”.
The man /woman of God experiences daily deliverance because as contained in the above verses The Lord is their strength in times of trouble.
Thanks be unto God who keeps giving us victory.
God told Abraham walk before me and be thou perfect.
Perfection is attainable Apostle Paul says follow me as I follow Christ
Don’t lower your standards today and say it is impossible to be of consistent character.
The perfect man exists and the characteristics are stated in the above scriptures.
Make a quality decision today to follow after our Lord Jesus Christ totally and attain that level so that when mankind is looking for that perfect man to observe your life would be there for them to see as example of a true follower of Christ in all areas of your purposeful life.
