Be A Person After God’s Heart.
“And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of the Lord thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the Lord have established thy kingdom upon Israel forever. But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the Lord hath sought a man after his own heart, and the Lord hath commanded him to be captain over his people because thou hast not kept that which the Lord commanded thee.” 1 Sam. 13:13-14.(KJV).
David was a man after God’s heart.
He replaced Saul as king because Saul lost favor with God.
Saul also lost his kingdom.
It was given to David.
Saul chose popularity with the people.
David sought to please God.
Do you want to keep your place in the Kingdom of God?
Then you must find favor with God.
How do you find favor with God?
Daily do His will.
Honor Him as the only God.
Do all that is required to keep your inheritance in the Kingdom of God.
Don’t lose yours as Saul did.
Application to the Christian life:
Keep the commandments of God.
Serve God.
Learn from Jesus Daily.
Follow Him.
