Divine Favor is Progressive and Continuous

Divine favor does not just happen once and cease. Divine Favor is continuous and available for every level of assignment or challenge that you may have. ‘And the Angel said to her, Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found grace, (free, spontaneous, absolute favor and loving-kindness) with God ’.- Luke 1:30- AMP. Bible) From the time the angel Gabriel appeared to Mary and till she finished her assignment with the conception, raising and positioning of the Lord Jesus Christ to commence his ministry with the miracle of turning water to wine at Cana of Galilee she continued to enjoy unsurpassing favor .She was accepted by Joseph, her betrothed husband. She connected with Cousin Elizabeth and the Jews could not stone her for fornication as the law required then.

Divine Favor can be defined as an unusual grace that makes nature and mankind to cooperate with you to bring God’s purpose to pass. That means to experience divine favor you must have a God given assignment .As you ask for Divine favor it must be on a God given task, even when you desire to have wealth it must be to glorify God and achieve His purpose. ‘ THE Israelites did according to the word of Moses: and they (urgently) asked of the Egyptians jewels of silver and of gold and clothing THE LORD gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they gave them what they asked. And they stripped the Egyptians [ of those things( GEN . 15: 14; EXOD. 12: 35-36- AMPLIFIED .Bible) God gave the Israelites divine favor for wealth because they will need it to build the tabernacle .They had grave consequences when they misused it for the golden calf. Daniel and David also experienced Divine favor in their God given assignments.

Esther experienced progressive and continuous favor; even though she was born as an orphan she experienced divine favor in getting Uncle Mordecai to raise her properly. She was born with beauty. Thank God for our beautiful daughters; it is a blessing to be so beautiful, but it could create challenges for them, because some other girls may be jealous and say cutting and mean things about them. Some beautiful women often have no opportunity to develop true character, for they are so pampered that they become extremely spoiled, hence they are commonly without personality and character. Take a look at the so called women celebrities. Esther found favor to have both physical beauty and inner beauty. Divine favor made her to be part of the nominees to replace queen Vashti that was deposed. Divine favor made her to be liked by the kings’ chief that took care of the virgins that were selected for the competition. Divine favor made her to be selected as the queen .When she heard about the plot against the Jews, divine favor made the king to extend the scepter for her to come into his presence. Divine favor made her secure judgment against Haman and he was hanged on the gallows he had planned for Mordecai. In Esther 8:8, she (Esther) experienced un-surpassing favor when the king told her ‘. You yourselves write a decree concerning the Jews, as you please’ and in Esther 9:1 we saw that the Jews overpowered their enemies. You too can experience this divine favor at all levels of your assignments, no matter the challenges involved. The Bible says thou shall decree a thing and it shall come to pass. Receive your divine favor to counter what Satan had purposed for your life and continually enjoy divine favor for your God-given task “Certainly you reward the godly, Lord. Like a shield you protect them in your good favor” Psalm 5:12 as we continue to put our trust in HIM divine favor is like a shield that covers all the essential areas we need.

Do not say anything negative to yourself

“Let the weak say, ‘I am strong,’ and the poor say, ‘I am rich!'”
Do not say anything negative to yourself. Regardless of your situation or circumstances
“Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears; let the weak say, “I am strong (a mighty warrior)!”—Joel 3:10
“ The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”—Proverbs 18:21.
Speak Words of Life to that issue .
God is coming forth for you.
Remain Strong.

Summer Time, Dangerous times for men …and women too

Summer Time, Dangerous times for men … and women too. It was Charles Dickens that once wrote “we live in the best of times and the worst of times”. Summer time is fast becoming a dangerous time for men to move about especially here in New York.
Regardless of the mode of transportation that you may be using; as long as your eyes see other users of the road, rail, bus and even as a pedestrian, you are confronted daily with scantily dressed women who now use the summer heat as an excuse to make public what God gave them for private use.
This is the time that your anchor must really hold in order to walk without lusting. I don’t know your theology of sanctification and holy living but what you are made to see puts to test the very foundations of your belief and perception.
In this ongoing FIFA world cup some people from a country have accused their goalkeeper for conceding a goal by looking at his fiancé who as a journalist was interviewing somebody around the field of play. He simply lost concentration. How do you also fair when going about your daily routine, whether you are driving, walking or as a passenger? How do you keep your focus on God when you are moving about and right before you are movie presentations you did not demand or desire to see? If you are in control you can easily switch off your thought processing system that may want to go haywire with lusts. Has your basic Bible teaching prepared you to live holy in times like these?
The Bible teaches us to flee fornication and all appearance of youthful lust (The presenters of these unrequested shows that cut across all ages, shapes, and sizes openly overwhelm us with what we were instructed to flee from). What then do you do? Do you run away? You cannot close your eyes while moving yet you cannot but notice what is being thrown at you.
The Bible says in Proverbs 24v10 “If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small.” Again in Jeremiah 12v5 “”If you have raced with men on foot and they have worn you out, how can you compete with horses? If you stumble in safe country, how will you manage in the thickets by the Jordan?” As a growing young Christian you were taught not to think or lust after a woman’s beauty. And women of those days either in church or on the street do not go out to tempt you. Today the dressing in the church sanctuary is not different from the public place. How does your faith help you to hold on in times like this?
Your understanding must come to the reality that this is the last days. Iniquities will continue to abound but your strength to overcome must increase from more intimacy with God and walking in the fullness of the Holy Spirit. Rather than seeing these as free movies you should see them as objects of prayers, deliverance and temptations that must be overcome and not yielded to.
Some men too are also using the weather to show forth their muscles and barely have anything on their bodies too. As a woman this is not the time to choose body trainer on the street or be enticed too. Proverbs 1v 10 “My child, if sinners entice you, turn your back on them!” God has made seasons to balance and enrich mankind, not to ensnare. Seriously, if the rapture should take place in this hot summer will you make the flight? What will you be hearing and seeing? I pray it’s the sound of the trumpet and the Lord. Not those movements that now tend to distract.

Had Not the God of My Father

“Had not the God of my father, the God of Abraham, and the fear of Isaac, been with me, it is certain thou wouldest have sent me away now empty. God has looked upon my affliction and the labor of my hands, and has judged last night.” Genesis 31 v42
These were the words of Jacob to Laban his Uncle who had manipulated and tried several times to outsmart him in their relationship. Let me paraphrase this verse like this “the True, Great and Faithful God of my grand father Abraham and the personal and reverent fear of that same God that my own Father Isaac had which also has been transferred to me has intervened on my behalf and that is why you can not carry out your wicked plans on me “
In the above passage we can see that Father Abraham had introduced God Almighty to Isaac and Isaac had in turn introduced this to his own son Jacob who can now testify of God’s miraculous intervention in his life. But that is not all; Jacob also feared and respected his own father Isaac. My question to you today is do you really know this true God of Abraham or which God has your own father introduced to you? .You may want to say your own father did not know the true God hence it has been difficult to know this true God. The Bible says in Hebrews 1v1-2” In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe.” Today again you are being told that accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior is the only way to this great and true God who always intervene on behalf of HIS own.
We also see that Jacob has a personal reverent fear of his own father which made him closer to the Almighty God that miraculously rescued him from destruction. Do you fear and respect your own father? Will the fear, honor and respect you have for your father accrue some positives things for you in the sight of the Almighty God? The Bible commands you to honor and respect your parents. Ephesians 6 v2 “Honor your father and mother”–which is the first commandment with a promise”
If your response is that your parents did not deserve this or did not bring you up the Bible way how are you today bringing up your own biological children or the children under your influence ?Do your own children know your God or which God have you introduced to them ? Do your own children fear and respect you like Jacob did and spoke about. God came through for Jacob and his name was changed to Israel and he is a blessing today because he knew the true God, feared and respected his own father.
In 2 Kings 2v12” Elisha saw this and cried out, “My father! My father! The chariots and horsemen of Israel! And Elisha saw him no more. Then he took hold of his own clothes and tore them apart.” In the critical historic and spiritual moment of transference of double portion of power, Elisha drew on his father relationship with his master to bring the manifestation to pass. Do you truly have a spiritual father that you can connect with in your moment of need?
Can you boldly talk about God as your father? Do you respect and fear HIM as a father? Happy Father’s Day
