They that feared the Lord

by | Feb 28, 2018

“Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name. And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him. Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.” Malachi 3:16-18 (KJV)
When you have the reverent fear of God, your conversation is different from others because of the contents. As you open your mouth, not only do you display wisdom but it’s also an encouragement to other like-minded people.
Much more importantly God records what you are saying to each other for further action.
This means that your words are very precious and no idle words should be proceeding from your mouth. Speak words that edify and build up.
Speak words that not only will you be proud off but words that ultimately produce results here on earth and impact heaven positively.
Take a moment today to check yourself on your words.
Is the fear of God in your heart?
Are you proud of the things that you say with your mouth to such extent that as that when it is played back before man and God you will still be smiling, or you will be ashamed?
Who are you speaking to mostly?
There are a lot of benefits for you as you speak encouraging words to other believers provided the bottom line of your communication is directed at the building of the kingdom of God.
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.” Proverbs 9:10 (KJV)
Let His Holy fear guide the manner of words that you speak out especially to others in the faith.
Meditate further on the above scriptures (Malachi 3:16-18) carefully again as we will continue with them later
Today remember your words, your precious words that you speak with His insight and focus are not only as the source of encouragement to others but are for action by God.
Really? Yes Really. Watch your tongue
