Men Ought Always to Pray – Part 2.
“I will, therefore, that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.” (1 Timothy 2:8) KJV
The Bible says that Elijah was a man of passions like ours, yet he prayed, and it did not rain for three years and six months.
Then he prayed again, and it rained.
In the meantime, he kept on praying.
Certainly didn’t pray just once in three and a half years!
Elijah prayed a simple prayer when he confronted the prophets of Baal, and fire came down from Heaven.
A short while later, God required him to pray seven times before he received an answer. He put his head between his knees and prayed. Then he sent his servant to look for a cloud.
The seventh time, the servant looked, a cloud the size of a man’s hand appeared, and Elijah said there was a sound of the abundance of rain.
When you pray, you might initially see a little bit of an answer.
 Believe God.
Don’t have any doubts.
Since your prayer is according to God’s will, go for it full of trust!
Jesus Christ is the prime example of how to pray.
He prayed with intensity.
“He prayed even more passionately, like one being sacrificed, until he was in such intense agony of spirit that his sweat became drops of blood, dripping onto the ground” (Luke 22:44)TPT
And He was the Son of God with all power.
If He needed to pray, don’t you think we need to pray as well?
