The Ants.

The Ants.
“The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer.” (Proverbs 30:25) KJV
Did you know that we can learn amazing things from ants?
The message of the ants is this:
“prepare yourself!”
The ants are preparing for winter time when it’s still summer because:
Their look is fixed on the future.
You cannot go back to the past, but your past can destroy you if you are not careful.
The summer of the opportunities will pass, and the winter will come.
The ant is gathering provisions for… now?
No!
The ant is gathering provisions for winter!
The ant’s cause is bigger than her.
Have you ever looked at an ant that is carrying something?
You can see an ant with some crumbs of bread three times bigger than her, and still, she carries it to the place she needs to go.
Let us learn today from the ants! Remember the words of Jesus?
Remember the parable of Jesus about those ten virgins?
Five of them woke up to reality too late.
They were not prepared for the big event which was taking place:
The wedding!
They were working without waiting for anything in exchange.
It appears there was no immediate gain.
If you are not patient to wait, you will miss what God had planned for you.
Work for the future.
Gather enough strength to carry you through the dark times.
Work until Jesus returns.
The Five Wise Virgins thought and planned ahead.
They had enough oil in their lamp to last the wait.

They will continue to rise over and over again.

“For the lovers of God may suffer adversity and stumble seven times, but they will continue to rise over and over again. But the unrighteous are brought down by just one calamity and will never be able to rise again. Never gloat when your enemy meets disaster, and don’t be quick to rejoice if he falls. For the Lord, who sees your heart, will be displeased with you and will pity your foe.”
