“My friend, who made me a judge or arbitrator over you?”

“My friend, who made me a judge or arbitrator over you?”
“Just then, someone spoke up from the crowd and said, “Master, you should compel my older brother to divide the family inheritance and give me my fair share!” Jesus answered, “My friend, who made me a judge or arbitrator over you?” Speaking to the people, Jesus continued, “Be alert and guard your heart from greed and from always wishing for what you don’t have. For your life can never be measured by the amount of things you possess.” Luke 12:13-15 (TPT)
Are you always into everybody’s matter?
Are you always compelled that you have to be involved?
This “member” of Jesu’s crowd invited Jesus to handle an important matter.
However, Jesus openly declined.
What would you have done?
“He complained to me” is your response
I have to help them out of the situation.
Today you need to ask yourself:
“Who made you a judge or arbiter over the many things you are involved in.”
Good is always preventing us from doing better.
Better hinder us from becoming the Best.
Focus.
Yes, focus only on what God has called you to be.
Don’t get sidetracked into what may appear suitable.
Is it core to your mandate?

Imagine Jesus abandoning His core ministry and “solving members” problems
Preach and teach the undiluted Word God has given you.
Stop getting involved in what may appear inviting.
In the next verse, Jesus warned us about greed.
“Be alert and guard your heart from greed and from always wishing for what you don’t have….”
It is the desire for numbers of members, opportunities, and fame
Recheck yourself today.
What is the actual motive of the things you get involved with?
“The twelve apostles called a meeting of all the believers and told them, “It is not advantageous for us to be pulled away from the word of God to wait on tables.”
Acts 6:2) TPT
Are you serving at the tables?
