The day before Saul came (Part 1)
“The day before Saul came, the LORD had told Samuel: “About this time tomorrow I will send you a man from the land of Benjamin. Appoint him to lead my people Israel. He will save my people from the Philistines. I have seen the suffering of my people, and I have listened to their cry.” When Samuel first saw Saul, the LORD said to Samuel, “This is the man I told you about. He will organize my people.” Saul approached Samuel at the gate and said, “Please tell me where the seer’s house is.” 1 Samuel 9:15-18 (NCV)
The day before Saul came to meet Samuel, he was on errand searching for the lost donkey. (1 Samuel 9:3-4)
However unknown to him, God has already appointed him King.
His search for the donkey was a set up by God for him to encounter Samuel.
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11 (NKJV)
Even though Saul started his yesterday searching for a donkey his tomorrow already destined by God was far more significant and better.
What are you doing today?
Saul was at this stage of his life was obedient, sincere, and diligent in his search for the donkey, but he was almost giving up.
God is at work in Your life.
God is Greater than what people say.
God knows you before you were born and has assigned a profitable, purposeful destiny for you.
Saul, while searching for the donkey, thought it was getting late.
It’s never too late in your life to attain and achieve His Purpose.
