“And it will be said, “Build up, build up, prepare the way, Remove every obstacle out of the way of My people.” Isaiah 57:14
My wife Olutoyin and I were driving back home from work, and it appeared that the route seems shorter. I began to think as to what could have reduced the distance and duration. It then dawned on me that all the massive tollgates structures had been removed. Somehow they have placed scanners above the road to collect the fares and all the humans and physical requirements hitherto there were gone. Hence the road users can move better and that’s why I initially thought the road was shorter.
The Bible encourages us to remove every obstacle that will hinder our Christian journey through life.
“Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,” Hebrews 12:1
What are those things that are hindering your victorious Christian life? You need to consciously remove those habits, traditions of men that does not allow you to be who God has purposed you to be.
Though the removal of the tollgates is technological driven much more the Love Of God and the desire to obey Him should also make us do away with every obstacle in our faith journey.
To attain your goals you need to drop everything that is hindering you and sometimes it’s the good things that keep you away from being better while the better keeps you from becoming your best.
The Apostle Paul demonstrated this focus with his life of commitment which purely emulates what our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ did by doing only what the Father has sent Him to do all the time.
Will you also focus only on the assignments God has given you so that you can consistently fight only the good fight of faith, which implies that some weights may be the wrong and unnecessary fights?
“The Messiah will lead you out of exile and bring you through the gates of your cities of captivity, back to your own land. Your King will go before you—the Lord leads on.” Micah 2: 13
Jesus Christ, the author, and finisher of our faith will enable you and empower you to remove every obstacle in your way of success in Jesus Name.
Today I celebrate my faithful friend and lover, the wife of my youth who is always looking young and beautiful every day. I am truly blessed and highly favored to have her not only as my soul mate but a great teammate in all assignments God has given me to do.
