Put Away All Bitterness.
“Let all bitterness and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice.” Ephesians 4:31 (KJV)
This is sometimes a challenging thing to do!!!.
Do you know that anger is the result of unfulfilled expectations?
Chose to be free from bitterness.
You have to desire to be free from it.
You must stop feeding the anger.
Stop entertaining thoughts that constantly remind you of the hurt.
Ask God for Grace to love like Jesus.
The bitterness will disappear if you refuse to feed it.
Sometimes you have to do away with friends that keep repeating the dead matter.
Many benefits are associated with being liberated from bitterness.
Unforgiveness yokes you with the person you have animosity against.
Choose to be free from bitterness.
Now is the time to release anyone that you are holding unforgiveness against.
Pray that God will bless the person who hurt you.
When you start praying for someone, you care about that person.
Do something good for the person who did wrong you.
Why?
Jesus told us to be good to each other.
Show mercy.
Love your enemies.
Don’t forget, as a Christian, you are a citizen of heaven.
Yes, you can live without bitterness.
“Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled.” Hebrews 12:15 KJV
Practice this truth in your life!
Application for the Christian life:
Stop feeling offended by things others do to you.
Look at issues from God’s perspective.
Forgive those who hurt you.
