Advise?

“And king Rehoboam consulted with the old men, that stood before Solomon, his father while he yet lived, and said, How do ye advise that I may answer this people? And they spake unto him, saying, If thou wilt be a servant unto this people this day, and wilt serve them, and answer them, and speak good words to them, then they will be thy servants forever. But he forsook the counsel of the old men, which they had given him, and consulted with the young men that were grown up with him, and which stood before him:” 1 Kings 12:6-8 (KJV)

Who do you take advise from?
Who is your counselor on a daily basis that gives you input and insight that informs the decision you are taking?
In the above scriptures King Rehoboam, King Solomon’s son had to make a crucial decision, and he sought to advise from two different groups. What became of his kingdom was a result of the counsel he followed
The outcome of your daily decisions and ultimate direction in life depends on who is your adviser.
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV)
God can guide you through your process of decision-making if you trust Him with all your heart.
Thank God for the technological information age we live in today which enables you to Google anything you want but before you act on that decision make sure you ask God.
God guides you through HIS word, and there is no issue in life that the Bible does not cover.
Much more God has also made the Holy Spirit a more excellent search engine available for you to guide you in your life.
“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.” John 16: 13 (KJV)
The Holy Spirit is available for you 24/7 to guide you in all areas of your life.
However, you must fuel it by your studying the Word of God, praying and a consistent Holy living.
“He who brings an offering of praise and thanksgiving honors and glorifies Me; and he who orders his way aright [who prepares the way that I may show him], to him I will demonstrate the salvation of God.” Psalm 50:3 (AMPC)
As you make Praising God, your lifestyle guidance from God comes to you.

God will perfect that which concerns you.

“For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.” Philippians 2: 13
When a toddler starts walking there are some falls, stumbling and awkward steps and that child does not give up.
The child tries again and again.
The parents too don’t give up. They cheer and remove the obstacles around the child to enable smooth walking.
Don’t be discouraged by the fumbles that you may have made. Parents don’t give up on their child at this stage.
God has not and will not give up on you.
You may ask yourself it’s Friday what have I achieved this week?
 Don’t lose hope.
You can make today the best day of this week.
Honestly look at what has been hindering you and have an action plan to correct it.
Yes, your goal and dreams are attainable.
Rise this day to make it your best this new year

For me and thee.

“Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast a hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee. “ Matthew 17:27 (KJV)
Jesus made provision for not only His tax but for Peter too.
When the tax collectors came to ask about the payment through Peter he took care of both of them.
Jesus demonstrated that HE was not just raising disciples but HE thinks about them and can meet all the needs of those who follow Him.
Whatever you are going through today that will impact your testimony and His Kingdom HE will provide for you just as HE did with the issue of the tax.
What situation appears in your life that people are inquiring about and you are scratching your head to provide answers for?
Tell it to Jesus He knows what to do.
“I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.” John 10:11 (KJV)
Jesus was there for Peter in all areas of His life when his mother in law was sick Jesus took care of that too.
“Jesus left the synagogue and went to Simon’s house. Simon’s mother-in-law was very sick. She had a high fever. They asked Jesus to do something to help her. He stood very close to her and ordered the sickness to go away. The sickness left her, and she got up and began serving them.” Luke 4:38-40
Be reminded again today that as you truly follow the Lord, there is no need or lack in your life that HE will not take care off.
Peter was in a relationship with the Lord.
HE was there for Peter through thick and thin.
As you serve HIM whatever the burden is, cast all care upon Him, HE cares for You.
Don’t allow the enemy to tell you that this “particular ” issue is not so spiritual and you cannot wholly take it to the Lord, or you have to find other solutions to it.
Again take a look at how Jesus related to Peter.
HE was there for him all the way.
Listen diligently and obey Him.
As Jesus told Peter “for me and thee” HE is there for You too.

Arise, Peter; slay and eat.

“And I heard a voice saying unto me, Arise, Peter; slay and eat.” Acts 11:7 (KJV)
God’s instructions to Peter were clear, Arise, Peter, Slay and Eat.
Many Believers today act as they can only see the word Eat.
Even though it’s an instruction in a vision that God was communicating to Peter the principles of how God works with his people are enumerated here.
Peter was told to Arise.
You need to arise and be well positioned to poses your possession.
God is providing the lamb for the sacrifice, but you need to arise and walk to the mountain to take hold of it.
“And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.” Romans 13: 11 (KJV)
God told Ruth to position herself strategically before her full restoration can become a reality
He calls you by name.
God called Peter individually, and when HE sends you on an assignment, He calls you by name. God speaks to you through your inner man and doesn’t just copy what others are doing He knows what you need. Ask Him for the blueprint of what He wants you to do.
God instructed Peter to slay.
You have to do the works it takes to get your victory.
Don’t just say Jesus Christ said it is finished and you don’t have to do any work.
Jesus said I work as my Father works.
Jesus answered his critics by saying, “Everyday my Father is at work, and I will be too!” John 5:17 (TPT).
When Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead HE told them to lose him from the bundles of clothes they already wrapped him in at the burial.
There is always the works that you have to do.
However, the joy is that the work you have to do is not in your power, wisdom or strength he provides all of them for you.

“Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.”

Psalm 23:5

As you obey Him step by step the food is set before you and you can then eat.
He satisfies your mouth with good things and renews your strength daily to live victoriously in Him.
Be encouraged today that as you hear and diligently obey victory is yours in Jesus name.

Arise, Peter; slay and eat.

When Love and Faith Conflicts.

“Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?” 2 Corinthians 6:14 (KJV)
It was my friend YO who sent the cartoon-like picture of the couple that showed the man leading the woman into the church for the Ash Wednesday prayers rather than the Valentine treat because both celebrations held last Wednesday, February 14th.
Which one did you honor?
This set me thinking as to when do love and faith conflict? And I remember one of the challenges of the Christian faith is when a partner in a relationship accepts Jesus Christ as Lord and the other person has not.
Often the question arises as to whether the believer will be compromising with the unbeliever?
If married break up of relationship is not an option because there are several ways the believing partner can through the real practice of faith.
The usual conflict of love and faith often arise when those involved are not married and when counseled with above scripture the choice is whether you have to break that relationship because the other partner refused to accept Christ.
Sometimes the new convert says because of love the relationship cannot be broken, and they hope somehow with time the other person will come to make the positive decision too.
What options do you have?
Standing upon the Word of God has always been the best and most reliable option.
Attractions based on infatuations often make people decide on following love and usually when those feelings wear off, and realities set in they then realize that all that glitters is not gold.
“My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not.” Proverbs 1:10 (KJV)
Don’t get carried away with was is in vogue, the latest trend and what others are doing.
Let the Word of God guides your daily decision even social matters.
“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” Romans 8:14 (KJV)
When under pressure people do quote the scriptures out of context like “giving unto Caesars what belongs to Caesars” Jesus was addressing a bunch of people who were looking for ways to trap Him. Don’t give your body to sin. Should you want to apply the scripture correctly, you are made in the image of God so your life, your body should be yielded to Godlike decisions as you see in the Bible.
“So God created man in his image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” Genesis 1:27 (KJV)
Should you have to decide on what to do next time when what appears to be love and faith conflicts let your decision be the Word of God.

You have loved me

“Father, I ask that you allow everyone that you have given to me. to be with me where I am!
Then they will see my full glory—
the very splendor you have placed upon me
 because
You have loved me even before the beginning of time.” John 17:24 (TPT)
Today the world marks Valentine’s Day, and it’s a merely human love story. However, before the foundations of the earth, God chose of His volition to first love you and I. This true and uncompromising love is what made Him send His only begotten Son to rescue humanity
It’s quite ironic that the church has been forced to follow the world in celebrating love when the real original undiluted love is actually with her.
God is love.
Whosoever claims to be a believer in God must not only love unconditionally but also let that agape love be a sweet aroma that continually preaches the kingdom of God through the lifestyle of the disciple.
How do you love today?
Is the genuine agape love of God showing forth in all areas of your life?
“He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.” 1John 4:8 (KJV)
As you see around you today the world’s version of love, you should resolve to let the pure love of God in your heart manifest to your neighbor and all that come to you daily.
You and I have the unique opportunity to show the world that the pure love of God is really in our lives as we manifest it all areas of our assignments in life.
Enough of the church following the world to get attention to be a witness.
As the church rises to its exact responsibilities of dominating our God-given platform people will begin to see that love is not on valentine’s day and equally Christmas is every day with the believer because Christ is celebrated daily in our lives.
“The entire universe is standing on tiptoe, yearning to see the unveiling of God’s glorious sons and daughters!” Romans 8:19 (TPT)
It’s not the Hollywood that should dictate how to show forth the Glory of God in our lives. They don’t know it because they do not have it.
It is the believer that has been purchased by the precious blood of the lamb that must occupy and manifest the true Glory of God.
As you see today the world’s compromised version of love be a real child of God to let your life showcase that true love HE has for you and me before the foundation of the world.
Long before the human version of love happened, the creator has loved and extended HIS LOVE to humankind before the foundations of the world.
“Father, I ask that you allow everyone that you have given to me.to be with me where I am!
Then they will see my full glory—
the very splendor you have placed upon me because
You have loved me even before the beginning of time.”
