Do not commit suicide is the plain and unambiguous language Paul cried and pleaded passionately to the jailor in our passage above. He was in a situation where humanly speaking all hopes were lost and the conclusion was for him to take his own life.
Be like Paul today to let that person know that no matter the situation suicide is not a way out to any human being regardless of what they face.
Don’t take your own life.
Cultures around the world have different antidotes that tend to justify that an “honorable death” is better is better than “been put to shame”.”
Unfortunately for the modern church of today that are typical to copy Hollywood verbatim in so many aspects has allowed the news of celebrities committing suicide to filter into the church without appropriate condemnation and clarity that suicide is not for any human being and should never never be a consideration for any child of God.
Let every human being that you come across today know that taking their lives by themselves is double jeopardy.
It’s accepting defeat in life and guaranteeing a place in hell.
Jesus came so that every person can have a full life here on earth and eternal life hereafter that is the win-win situation.
Stop the wrong notion that has been on the increase recently especially amongst the younger generation that taking your own life is an option.
There are countless testimonies of people who have reached the rock bottom hopeless situation, but with the right focus on God, their conditions have experienced a complete turnaround to God’s glory.
” Startled from sleep, the jailer saw all the doors swinging loose on their hinges. Assuming that all the prisoners had escaped, he pulled out his sword and was about to do himself in, figuring he was as good as dead anyway when Paul stopped him: “Don’t do that! Gideon had to change his perceptions of God and speak the language of faith and love of God, and he was transformed from the hiding farmer to a victorious war leader and ruler in Israel.
“Though the fig tree does not blossom, and there is no fruit on the vines, [though] the product of the olive fails and the fields yield no food, though the flock is cut off from the fold and there are no cattle in the stalls, Yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will exult in the [victorious] God of my salvation!” Habakkuk 3:17-18 (AMPC)
Joseph kept the dreams he initially had in his hearts throughout his travails, and eventually, all the dreams were fulfilled verbatim.
Keep confessing what God has told you about yourself regardless off the facts around you today.
It may look foolish and shameful, but that’s the way faith works.
The more you see and say what God has said about you the faster the fulfillment of His promises to you.
The goal of satan is to make you give up on yourself and see yourself as unworthy of God’s grace or his old age trick of convincing you that God does not really care about you and that’s why you are going through all these ordeals.
Reject all the lies of the enemy about you entirely and be on God’s side concerning yourself.
Yes, take side with God in this battle of your purposeful life.

After the death of Israel, the brothers came to Joseph telling him that their father had asked him to forgive them. Joseph knew it was a makeup story and it really pained him that his brothers did not fully trust him. In reassuring them, Joseph uttered the core statement in our text today Am I in place of God? Vengeance is His, not mine.
How are you handling the mistreatment people have given to you?
The life of Joseph again reminds all of us that whatever inhumanity and all manner of abuse your fellow brethren had inflicted on you, please be Gracious like him and forgive.
Joseph’s forgiveness of his brothers points us to the perfect love that Jesus had for us that makes him go all the way to Calvary for us.
Today as you reflect on your life’s assignments and remember all the injustice and unfairness that you have met along the way remember Joseph was able to release his brothers, Potiphar’s wife and many others who had hurt him along the way unto God’s hand.
Please don’t play God in whatever situation you may want to act out.
Remember its only God that has the complete and total picture from all perspective to that mater that you feel really pained about.
Let him handle the situation.
Release that person that has hurt you to God.
Whatever man has done to you find Grace like Joseph and much more Grace in Christ Jesus to let vengeance be God. Then you will see God work all these things together for good for you to His Glory and the Blessings will be yours…

It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones. Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.” Luke 17:1-4 (NKJV)
An offense can be defined as “An injury or wrong was done to one or a stumbling-block or cause of temptation.” Whatever your definition may be causing offense to other believers should not be your hallmark as a child of God.
Due to the Adamic nature of sin, Jesus warned the disciples not to be the source of the offense.
However HE equally balanced it that if you are offended and approached for forgiveness, please forgive that offender not just once but up to seven times in a day telling you he has repented you should please forgive him.
Many in the body of Christ have been offended, and they have carefully devised a method of withdrawing from that person so as not to allow a repeat of the offense to occur. Through this wisdom of man which some are using the body of Christ has been systematically fractured that so many factions and fractions have emerged and the potency of the oneness of One Body, One Faith, and One Lord is far from being achieved.
Today as you look at the word offense, resolve not to be the source of the attack to people around you, and if you have been offended, please appropriate the grace to forgive and not withdraw from the fellowship or the group you belong to.
Let the Love of God conquer the offense as you walk in love thereby fulfilling what God has commanded.

John the Baptist kept himself in the way God led him.
Daily he kept doing what appeared to be the daily “routine,” but he knew the signs of what God has told him about identifying the Messiah. He stayed at it, and it happened as God has promised.
Sometimes you don’t get the full picture of how and when it is going to happen but as you keep doing faithfully what HE has told you to do the rest will inevitably fall in place.
Obedience brings the miracle.
Stay in the revelation God has given you, and as HE confirmed to Eliezer and John, the Baptist God will guide you in fulfilling your destiny.
Keep yourself in the path of obeying the instructions HE has given You.
