Men Ought Always to Pray – Part 2.

Men Ought Always to Pray – Part 2.
“I will, therefore, that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.” (1 Timothy 2:8) KJV
The Bible says that Elijah was a man of passions like ours, yet he prayed, and it did not rain for three years and six months.
Then he prayed again, and it rained.
In the meantime, he kept on praying.
Certainly didn’t pray just once in three and a half years!
Elijah prayed a simple prayer when he confronted the prophets of Baal, and fire came down from Heaven.
A short while later, God required him to pray seven times before he received an answer. He put his head between his knees and prayed. Then he sent his servant to look for a cloud.
The seventh time, the servant looked, a cloud the size of a man’s hand appeared, and Elijah said there was a sound of the abundance of rain.
When you pray, you might initially see a little bit of an answer.
 Believe God.
Don’t have any doubts.
Since your prayer is according to God’s will, go for it full of trust!
Jesus Christ is the prime example of how to pray.
He prayed with intensity.
“He prayed even more passionately, like one being sacrificed, until he was in such intense agony of spirit that his sweat became drops of blood, dripping onto the ground” (Luke 22:44)TPT
And He was the Son of God with all power.
If He needed to pray, don’t you think we need to pray as well?

Men Ought Always to Pray – Part 1.
“I will, therefore, that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.” (1 Timothy 2:8) KJV
Prayer is the means to reach the most unlimited resources available today.
We hear about limited resources, renewable resources, and numerous resource problems that humanity has gotten our earth into.
However, God will give answers to prayers to prove that He is unlimited.
Prayer is like breathing. It is as necessary to our spiritual health as the oxygen that fills our lungs and keeps us alive physically. We inhale and exhale all the time. Thus if we prayed as often as we breathe, we would be dynamos for God. But all too often spiritually, it seems we need much artificial respiration.
Many years ago, most churches had altars of prayers.
 Where are the altars today?
Many have been removed because the people did not use them.
The most important part of our life is our prayer life.
Prayer keeps the bride speaking to the bridegroom.
Prayer moves God to talk to the backslider and the sinner.
There is power in prayer. If we just use it!
Apostle Paul told Timothy that he should pray first.
All too often, we try everything else before we tap into the resources available in Jeremiah 33:3 and call on the Lord.
Paul himself said: “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men.”
(2 Timothy 2:1)
We must get our priorities straight and make sure that we call upon the Lord first.
When we do that, God will answer.
He said, He would: “show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.”

What God Has Cleansed You Must Not Call Common.

What God Has Cleansed You Must Not Call Common.
“And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.  But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten anything common or unclean. And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.” (Acts 10:13-15) KJV
After Peter turned around and repented became reliable for God to use in many profitable ways.
However, he felt he knew God so much by what he had learned and experienced in the past that he was almost shutting God out of HIS next move.
God is limitless, but Peter’s knowledge and experience were limited.
How do you understand and interpret God?
Don’t limit God with your prior understanding.
Be open to God to find out what he is doing now.
Peter had the grace to hear God’s voice a second time.
What about you?
Are you giving God that second chance to speak to you again?
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55:8-9)
Give room for God to reveal HIS mind to you on your thoughts.
Allow His higher ways and plans to be communicated to you.
“Peter exploded with his good news: “It’s God’s truth, nothing could be plainer: God plays no favorites! It makes no difference who you are or where you’re from—if you want God and are ready to do as he says, the door is open. The Message he sent to the children of Israel—that through Jesus Christ, everything is being put together again—well, he’s doing it everywhere, among everyone.” (Acts 10: 34-36)
God indeed is not limited.
HE will use HIS Word to confirm HIS next move to you.

Other sheep that are not of this fold

Other sheep that are not of this fold
“And I have other sheep [beside these] that are not of this fold. I must bring and impel those also, and they will listen to My voice and heed My call, and so there will be [they will become] one flock under one Shepherd.”
John 10:16 (AMPC)
Please remember that there are others that the Grace and Mercy of God will eventually locate.
They may not belong to your church or fellowship group right now.
Jesus made it clear that HE is reaching out to others.
What does this mean?
You may literarily take the verse to mean the Jews and Gentiles in the Bible context.
“And I have other sheep that I will gather which are not of this Jewish flock. And I, their Shepherd, must lead them too, and they will follow me and listen to my voice. And I will join them all into one flock with one shepherd” John10:16 (TPT)
Who are the “Jews and Gentiles” in your world?
Have respect for other people who don’t presently share your views.
Be tolerant of others and try to understand why they currently hold opposing views.
Agape them and pray for them.
Are you part of the True sheep?
True sheep are those who listen to the voice of the Shepherd and follow Him and know Him (John 10:3-4)
Live out the Gospel of Grace that has been given to you by not condemning others that don’t look and behave like you currently do.
