Have Jesus With You.

Have Jesus With You.

“For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” Matt. 18:20.(KJV).

Jesus assures you that He is with you.

Especially when two or three people gather together in His name.

He is with you anywhere you are.

What does that mean?

Daily learn to recognize the presence of God is with you.

When you are sharing the Gospel with one or two more.

He is there with you.

As you gather together in fellowship with others.

Be conscious that your gathering is not in vain.

When you discuss the word of God with your friends, Jesus is with you.

God takes notes of such gatherings.

It also counts in your favor.

“Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name.”

Malachi 3:16(KJV)

You get rewarded for God-centered conversations.

Honor God in your discussions with people.

The more opportunities you make to discuss the word of God, the more you will be in the companion of Jesus.

Do you want to experience the presence of Jesus?

Application to the Christian life:

Steps To Recovery, Restoration, And Come-Back.

Steps To Recovery, Restoration, And Come-Back.
Lessons from David 1 Samuel 30: 1-26

  1. In your down moments, encourage yourself as David did in his distress 30:6
  2. Seek God’s guidance and direction through prayers. Avoid doing the obvious or leaning on your own understanding
    30:7
  3. Take action by faith even when there are no guarantees. There is a time to pray and a time to act. 30:9
  4. Persist in pursuing your goals, even in the face of obstacles and discouragements. Remain focused on victory. 30: 10
  5. Remain kind, good, and faithful even in the valley and on your way to restoration. Often, they are the lubricant for your motor wheels. 30:11-13
  6. Be humble and seek help on your way to recovery. Don’t look down on anyone or small opportunities as God can use anyone and anything. 30:15
  7. Be magnanimous in victory when you recover. Give glory to God and share your successes with others, whether they helped you along the way or not. 30: 21-25.

Do You Judge others?

Do You Judge others?
“And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.”
Mark 4:24. (KJV).
How often do you condemn what others have done?
Maybe he does not know anything.
He cannot do anything right.
He ought to know better!.
How easy is it to judge someone else?
You will never do something as wrong as that!
What would you do if you were in the same position as your friend?
Will you act differently?
Perhaps you think you know how you will act.
God knows what you can and what you cannot.
He is the only one that can judge.
Most of the time, as humans, we know in part.
Only God sees and knows the complete picture.
Be careful not to do what your friend did when you judged him because you implied you were better than him.
Now you proved you are not.
How often have you found yourself doing what you had judged others on previously?
Your friend did it innocently.
You knew what you did.
Application to the Christian life:
Do not judge.
Empathize, not Sympathize.
Pray for others.
Ask God for Insight.

Living in the Light.

Living in the Light.
“For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: Walk as children of light.” Ephesians 5:8. (KJV).
Do you know the difference between Light and darkness?
Look at it.
Darkness represents difficulties in life.
It also represents evil.
Light represents goodness.
It represents God.
Light and darkness are also a way of thinking.
When you live a life in darkness, you are occupied by evil.
When you live in the Light, you live with God.
You think of His Love.
You think of the return of Jesus.
You prepare for eternal life.
“For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy Light shall we see Light.”Psalm 36:9(KJV)
Through the Word, we see our pathway to daily victory.
“Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a Light unto my path.”Psalm 119:105(KJV)
Can you walk as a child of the Light?
Application to the Christian life:
Live for Jesus.
Submit yourself to God.
Prepare for eternal life with God.
Resist evil.

Can You Hear?

Can You Hear?
“If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.”
Mark 4:23 (KJV).
Did you ever say something to a friend just to find out he did not hear a single word?
Why did he not hear?
Did you ever sit in class, listening to the teacher?
When you have to do the homework, you realize you do not know what to do?
Maybe your friend was thinking something else while you were talking to him.
Maybe you did hear what the teacher said.
You just did not understand his explanation.
Whatever the reason for not hearing, the result is sad. How well do you hear Jesus?
Do you understand what He says?
To hear is not enough.
You need to understand what you hear.
Can you understand Jesus?
Understanding what you hear enables you to do.
“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.” James 1:22(KJV)
Self-deception is pretending to hear when you do not.
Worse still is hearing and not understanding.
Philip asked the Ethiopian Eunuch:
“And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest? And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.”Acts 8:30-31(KJV)
Do you know God’s purpose for your life?
Are you hearing Him Daily?
Are you doing what He has asked you to do?
Application to the Christian life:
Learn to understand the word of God.
Listen to what Jesus says.
Do what He wants you to do.
