Fathers that leave legacies for their children.

“Then David gave Solomon the plans for the Temple and its surroundings, including the entry room, the storerooms, the upstairs rooms, the inner rooms, and the inner sanctuary–which was the place of atonement.’1 Chronicles 28:11
“So King Solomon finished all his work on the Temple of the LORD. Then he brought all the gifts his father, David, had dedicated–the silver, the gold, and the various articles–and he stored them in the treasuries of the LORD’s Temple.” 1 Kings 7:51
Today as we celebrate another fathers day lets remind ourselves that God’s requirement of us as   fathers is to leave more than enough legacies for our children so they can also add on and pass it down for their own children too.
His pattern as we see from the Bible is for fathers to walk with God in obedience so that HE can prosper us and pass that prosperity down the generational line. Some cultures do task their children to produce for them and wrongly teach children that they are investments that must take care of them.
The truth we must remind ourselves today as we celebrate fathers day is that fathers must walk and work with God so that HE can bless us much that we will take care of our own responsibilities and have leftovers to pass down to the next generations. Abraham, Isaac and Israel did this. Even as Joseph was the Prime Minister his father Israel still had something to personally give him and bless him with before he passed on.
The Bible commands us to honor and respect our parents this we must do but must not be misinterpreted as enslavement for children to produce for their parent’s .In love we must continue to teach our children and not provoke them to wrongdoings. When we give as God has commanded us to do, the returns have a multiplier effect and true prosperity is manifested in every area of our lives.
Solomon unfortunately did not instruct and teach his own children like David did to him.
The early fathers created time to teach God’s way to their children. This we must continue to do as fathers today in other to leave legacies behind.
We must as fathers take responsibilities for our own actions and decisions and not sacrifice our children to save our face. “Then the king of Moab took his oldest son, who would have been the next king, and sacrificed him as a burnt offering on the wall. So there was great anger against Israel, and the Israelites withdrew and returned to their own land.” 2 Kings 3:27. It was the king of Moab who had inordinate ambition but he sacrificed his son to get it .Do not spend all your time pursuing money with fame and neglect raising your children. Do not mortgage your children future with today’s deals. When king Hezekiah was also told of what would happen after his death to the next generation as a result of his action he did not care to intercede. That’s not being a good father.
What are your weaknesses in life today as a father?  Please address it, do not pass down any generational curse in your family line. Let it end at the cross of Jesus Christ today and take possession of all the blessings that God has for you as a father. It is never too late to turn around.
Today as a father what legacy are you going to leave for your children?

Prove all things

“ But test and prove all things [until you can recognize] what is good; [to that] hold fast.” 1 Thessalonians 5:21
We live in an age of too much social frenzy and one of the side effects is that “news” spread like wildfire in the social media.
Technology has enabled us to just copy, paste, send and forward to other people without verifying the authenticity of such information.
As a child of God before you endorse and be a platform to distribute such information take time to look at it again and ascertain that it is so before you become the distributor.
In the above Bible verse Apostle Paul encourages Christians not to dabble and peddle stories about the return of our Lord Jesus Christ, which has no scriptural foundation.
He encouraged them to verify all their facts before coming to a conclusion on any issue.
How do you fair today in recognizing what is good?
Do you just form your opinion about the issues of life based on what other people say?
Do you form your opinion based on the “prayer gossip” that other Christian told you of another Christian without you personally verifying the facts?
Resolve today to process diligently the information you base your decisions on.
Take the challenge.
Test all things, and hold firmly that which is good.

Thy bountiful care, what tongue can recite?

“Thy bountiful care, what tongue can recite   It breathes in the air, it shines in the light; It streams from the hills, it descends to the plain, And sweetly distills in the dew and the rain.” – Christian Hymnals

The Timeless Hymn “Oh, worship the King, all-glorious above,” aptly encourages us to reflect on the Glories and Wonders of God.

“Your glories and wonders, what tongue can recite?”
“O for a thousand tongues to sing My dear Redeemer’s praise” Charles Wesley (1739)
“O for a thousand tongues to sing my great Redeemer’s praises, the glories of my God and King, the triumphs of his grace! My gracious Master and my God, assist me to proclaim, to spread thro’ all the earth abroad the honors of your name.”
Take time today to reflect on the in-numerous(uncountable) things God has done for you.
God has done so many things for you today that you should take time to worship Him with these hymns and any other expression of HIS love in your heart back to HIM in total adoration and appreciation.
Our relationship with God should not just be to ask, ask, ask, and ask again.
Pause for some time today to just Praise Him and be grateful for all the wonders and glories HE keeps doing in your life.
Make up your mind that today you will actually thank HIM for all the Blessings that HE has continually bestowed on you. The more you Praise Him the more the abundance of HIS true Riches you will enjoy .
Today sing and praise HIM for HIS Glories and Wonders

God has given you your assignment before you were born

“Josiah said, What is that monument I see? The men of the city told him, It is the tomb of the man of God who came from Judah and foretold these things that you have just done against the altar of Bethel.” 2Kings 23: 17
God has given you a purposeful assignment before you were born physically here on this earth. You are definitely not a mistake nor a mere coincidence. HE carefully thought of you the moment HE gave life to your conception.
As seen in the Bible verse above God through a prophet had announced in 1 Kings 13 what was going to happen several years ago and faithfully it came to pass as Josiah walking with God carried this out to the letter.
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew [and] approved of you [as My chosen instrument], and before you were born I separated and set you apart, consecrating you; [and] I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5

God has an ordained assignment for your life and you can know it and fulfill it you will take time to ask HIM.

Don’t continue living your life like an adventure.

Connect through the Holy Spirit and discover God’s blueprint for your life and HE that has given you that purposeful life will empower you to fulfill it in Jesus name.
Today take time to check with God what is your assignment in life and pursue it with FAITH in HIS WORD that it will surely come to pass

Zodiac Signs (Horoscope) is not for you as a child of God

“He put away the idolatrous priests whom the kings of Judah had ordained to burn incense in the high places in Judah’s cities and round about Jerusalem—also those who burned incense to Baal, to the sun, to the moon, to the constellations [or twelve signs of the zodiac], and to all the hosts of the heavens.” 2 Kings 23:5

Some “Christians” still ask each other what is their month’s star, this is wrong of any true believer either to ask or worse still to read up or find out what is his or her star using the zodiac sign.

God clearly forbids that his children consult such mediums to find out their destiny or even navigate their daily life.

Don’t look for that zodiac sign either online or in any printed material it is evil and definitely as you can see from the above scripture its not of God.
Astrology, horoscope and psychics readings are all evil medium that a child of God must not engage in.

“You are wearied with your many counsels and plans. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, and the monthly prognosticators stand up and make known to you and save you from the things that shall come upon you [Babylon].” Isaiah 47:13

As the Bible points out these are the works of darkness that cannot save you.
God created you and designed you for a specific purpose and becoming a born again child of God gives you access through the Holy Spirit to be guided by God into your destiny.

“Take no part in and have no fellowship with the fruitless deeds and enterprises of darkness, but instead [let your lives be so in contrast as to] [a]expose and reprove and convict them.” Ephesians 5:11

Stop looking for what will happen to your life through the “stars” God who created you in HIS image has the blue print for your life.
