Jesus will certainly return!

Jesus will certainly return!
“Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so soon come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.” Acts 1:11. (KJV).
Are you expecting the return of Jesus?
Stop looking up.
Instead, prepare for His return.
He will arrive when you do not expect Him.
How does it help you see Him arriving, and you are not prepared to Go with Him?
Jesus said, work until I come again.
Are you daily working for Him?
Are you inspiring your friends to prepare with you?
Are you teaching others about the Kingdom Of God?
What are you doing to prepare yourself?
Application to the Christian life:
Jesus will certainly return.
Prepare for Him
Labor for Him.
Serve Him.

Wrong Attitudes About Sin – Part 2.

Wrong Attitudes About Sin – Part 2.

“And as Samuel turned about to go away, he laid hold upon the skirt of his mantle, and it rent. And Samuel said unto him, The Lord hath rent the kingdom of Israel from thee this day and hath given it to a neighbour of thine, that is better than thou. And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor repent: for he is not a man, that he should repent. Then he said, I have sinned: yet honour me now, I pray thee, before the elders of my people, and before Israel, and turn again with me, that I may worship the Lordthy God. So Samuel turned again after Saul; and Saul worshipped the Lord.”
(1 Samuel 15:27-31) KJV
One wrong attitude we must discard.
“I’m guilty, but I have excuses.”
It’s interesting that in another context, Saul had excuses as well
(1 Samuel 13:11 KJV).
Saul said he sinned:
Because of others.
Saul blamed others for his sin.
He said that the people brought the sheep.
Isn’t this the same with us?
We blame others:
The children, the husband, the wife, the government, the laws, the problems, etc.
Another wrong attitude:
Not the same as others.
Saul compared himself with others.
It’s so easy today to compare yourself with others, isn’t it?
Paul challenges us to imitate Christ.
“Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.”
(1 Corinthians 11:1 KJV)
We can ourselves compare with Jesus, our Lord.
Having good intentions.
Saul said that he had good intentions. He kept the animals to bring them as sacrifices to the Lord.
I am guilty, but I’m not giving up.
Saul doesn’t want to give up on his pretensions.
He doesn’t want to lose his job.
Saul doesn’t want to give up his sin. Instead of giving up on pride and sin, Saul continued to live in the same way. Interestingly, he lost God’s blessing and Samuel’s friendship,
He still didn’t give up his sin.
Consider Saul’s mistakes, and don’t repeat them!
Follow Jesus, Our Perfect example.
Application for the Christian life:
Do not use excuses to sin.
Get rid of your own desires.
Repent and change your life to be like Jesus.

God created us perfectly.
Through Adam, we are all born into sin.
Saul didn’t know the gravity of sin.
His attitude about sin was totally wrong:
“I’m not guilty,”
Saul tried to hide the reality.
He acted as if nothing wrong had happened.
He who denies sin with or without knowledge is saying that:
“God doesn’t know all things.
He doesn’t really see everything I do, or He doesn’t really hear everything I say.” “God is changeable and not staying besides His Word.”
“He said to annihilate all the Amalekites, but He will be glad to hear how clever we were.”
“We kept the best for the sacrifices.”
You could think that not all God says is wrong is really wrong.
Don’t deceive yourself!.
“The man of God doesn’t know many things. Even though Samuel will come, he will not understand a thing about those sheep.”
“It will seem normal to him.
The man of God could be compromised.”
” If I have to, I will convince Samuel that we, not God, had the right.”
“He will consider that we are the smart ones. “
“The people who know our sin will keep it secret.”
This is the devil’s voice.
Which tries to convince you to hide the sin.
If he keeps it secret in your life.
He will keep it until Judgement Day.
On that day, there will not be anything to hide.
“For nothing is hidden that will not be disclosed, nothing is covered up that will not be known and come out into the open.” Luke 8:17(CJB)
Are you still thinking like Saul did?
What sin are you hiding from God?
Don’t trust his voice, but trust God!
Application for the Christian life:
Take sin seriously.
Listen to God’s voice and not to Satan. Do not keep secrets from God.
He knows everything.

When Life Pulls You Down.

When Life Pulls You Down.
“Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.” (James 5:17) KJV
Remember Elijah?
The main two things were the rain (as in verse above) and Mount Carmel.
These were significant aspects of his Life.
Did you know that after the victory of Mount Carmel, something happened? Life pulled him down right after the most extraordinary spiritual victory of his Life.
The people of Israel didn’t know who the true God was, and they accepted the challenge.
They went to Mount Carmel, and the Lord showed them that He is the True God.
Right after this spiritual victory, Elijah experienced a significant depression. The fear caused him not to see the big picture.
He focused on himself, on the threat of Jezabel, and he was terrified.
That’s why he isolated himself and stayed there all by himself.
What was the prescription that God gave Elijah to raise him up?
A sermon about the unsteady faith of the prophet?
No, just rest and food.
God recognizes our limitations, even when we don’t see them.
(Isaiah 42:3 KJV)
He corrected Elijah’s perspective about Him. ( 1 Kings 19:11 KJV)
He corrected Elijah’s perspective about the world. (1 Kings 19:14,18 KJV)
He corrected Elijah’s perspective about himself. (1 Kings 19:4,16 KJV)
He sent help to Elijah. (1 Kings 19:21 KJV)
Don’t forget, wherever you are,
God wants to raise you up.
Don’t focus on your limitations.
He wants you b to go to the next level.
He has the blueprint of your Life.
He wants you to be His… entirely!
Application to Christian Life:
When in difficulties:
Allow God to reveal Himself to you. Trust Him.

The Word of God.

The Word of God.
“In the beginning, was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John 1:1. (KJV).
The world was created by words.
Word spoken by Elohim
Even today:
God is still speaking.
God’s Words have been put together in the written form called the Bible.
God’s words will never pass.
“Then Adonai said to me, “You have seen well, because I am watching to fulfill my word.” Jeremiah 1:12 (CJB)
Can you see God in His words?
Can you hear His voice when those words are uttered?
Daily you have to read God’s Word.
“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Psalm 119:105
Speak His Word to your purposeful life.
Even in your casual conversation.
Let His Word guide you.
God’s words were in the beginning.
His words will also be at the end.
Application to the Christian life:
Listen to the Word of God.
Be obedient to His Word
Apply His words to your life.
