God loves a cheerful giver.

“Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:7(KJV)
Start this new 2018 with a resolution in your heart to give more to God.
Starting with your weekly offering that you give to God every Sunday, purpose in your heart to increase it more than it was last year.
Prosperity is a covenant relationship with God that rests squarely in your ability to give to with obedience and in love.
As you want increases in your life determine to increase your generous giving. It is a principle that works all the time with God.
“Remember: A stingy planter gets a stingy crop; a lavish planter gets a lavish crop. I want each of you to take plenty of time to think it over and make up your mind what you will give. That will protect you against sob stories and arm-twisting. God loves it when the giver delights in the giving.” 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 (MSG)
The Widow of Zarephath, The Shunammite Woman, David and Solomon Kings of Israel and the Churches of Macedonia are some examples of givers in the Bible that their cheerful giving made the positive difference in their destinies.
Ask God how HE wants you to give and as you obey HIM in offering you will see the manifestations of HIS increases in your life.
Learn to hear his voice and follow HIS instructions, and surely His increases follow.
“If you listen obediently to the Voice of God, your God, and heartily obey all his commandments that I command you today, God, your God, will place you on high, high above all the nations of the world. All these blessings will come down on you and spread out beyond you because you have responded to the Voice of God, your God: Deuteronomy 28:1-2 (MSG)

A Time for Every Purpose

“To everything, there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:” Ecclesiastes 3:1
The use of your Time in this new 2018 is critical.
To attain your goals and aspirations wise time management is a necessity.
Evaluate how you had spent your time in the last few years and be wise to deploy it profitably this year.
Time is one commodity that is available to everyone equally but how we use it depends on the choices that we make.
There’s an opportune time to do things, a right time for everything on the earth:
“Time is money” “is a much easier way to explain the concept of Opportunity cost — because time is money! It means time is a valuable resource (because our time in this world is finite). Therefore you need to prioritize the use of your time.”
“Don’t waste your time on useless work, mere busywork, the barren pursuits of darkness. Expose these things for the sham they are. It’s a scandal when people waste their lives on things they must do in the darkness where no one will see. Rip the cover off those frauds and see how attractive they look in the light of Christ. Wake up from your sleep, Climb out of your coffins; Christ will show you the light! So watch your step. Use your head. Make the most of every chance you get. These are desperate times! Don’t live carelessly, unthinkingly. Make sure you understand what the Master wants.” Ephesians 5: 15-17
There is time available to achieve your dreams. However, you must put value to it put it to your advantage in this New Year
The parable of the talents Jesus spoke about in Matthew 25:14-30 is not just applicable to talents of gold it is also about the use of our time. Therefore invest your time in this 2018 into profitable ventures.
Use your time this year for the very purpose which  God has called and equipped you.
The seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks and months all add up to a prosperous 2018.

THEREFORE HAVE I HOPE

“This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:21-23) KJV
HOPE is in the air as we start 2018 based on the assurance from God that HE has given us a brand NEW opportunity to fulfill our purposeful living.
From all the joyous felicitations we have had from the Christmas season till the beginning of this new 2018 it is the renewal of expectations that all is not lost we do have another aim in our aspirations.
Therefore as we dream again and refocus on our goals in life let our hope be wholly rooted in God.
“The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.” (Lamentations 3:24) KJV
Place your hope of attainment and achievement squarely in God and not in any man, government, employer and not even in your parents because they are human too.
Saturate your hope in the vision God has given you about your life.
“Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” (Proverbs 29:18)KJV
2018 will by His grace give you opportunities to do much better than you did last year, therefore, position yourself correctly in these first few days for a successful bountiful year.
Learn your lessons from the mistakes you made and move on into a new advantageous move haven seen how it went last year.
Dream bigger in 2018 don’t be satisfied with the modest achievements you made. God that you serve is a God of abundance that makes His Blessings in your life to continually increase.
Abraham, Isaac, Israel, Moses, Peter Paul and even our Lord Jesus Christ all increased in their manifested Blessings to man.
Go to 2018 with the Lord Jesus Christ as your Anchor and never lose sight of your purposeful vision in Life.
“For I know the thoughts that I think of you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” (Jeremiah 29:11)KJV
Your expectations in God are guaranteed as you hear and obey Him.
Happy New Year.

Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God.

“ Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook it. And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there for his error, and there he died by the ark of God.” (2 Samuel 6:6-7)KJV
Wednesday night, on the train a homeless man’s overloaded cart was sliding across in the coach moving up and down the passageway almost hitting other train commuters seated, but strangely it did not run anyone. And much more astonishing each time the train stops at a station the cart rolls itself back to the fast asleep homeless man. Puzzling?
As I looked on with other passengers in the train at this display, I remembered the story of the ark of God moving back to base and Uzzah tried to help God.
With the train situation, nobody including me was willing to touch the unattractively fully loaded cart, but it did not require anybody’s help it merely went back.
Uzzah in the Bible tried to help God, but he should not have done that in the flesh, which resulted in his death.
In what circumstances are you trying to help God out? Don’t.  You cannot with your flesh intervene on behalf of God.
“ For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.” (James 1:20) KJV
Uzzah possibly had forgotten God’s words that the Ark not be touched. When the ox stumbled, he reached out his hand to prevent the Ark from falling. God did not need Uzzah’s help to stabilize the Ark. He is the Almighty God.
Let God be God in all areas of your life.
Again be reminded that “heaven help those who help themselves” is not in the Bible.
Therefore always trust and follow God’s instructions entirely in all areas of your life.
Whatever the challenge you are going through find out from God’s Word the solution.
David later got how to move the ark correctly, and it turned out to be a blessing.
I got out at my stop pondering on the sliding cart on the train.
As we all prepare to get into 2018, let God be God in ALL aspects of your life.

But the flesh is weak.

“Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Matthew 26:41
There is a story about a man several years ago who invested in the Colorado gold mines, and after getting some gold the pit seems to dry up, and he sold off the land and the equipment to the janitor and went back to his city. The janitor searched for an engineer who helped him trace the dike and discovered that the previous owner was just three inches away from the real and more significant deposit of gold. The first guy got tired and discouraged within only three more inches of digging in the right direction that would have changed his fortune.
Jesus Christ told his disciples to pray more so as not to enter into temptation but they yielded to their flesh and slept off.
The year 2017 is gradually coming to its end, and you are contemplating giving up on some of the promises of God you have believed.
Don’t give up like that discouraged gold miner or sleep off like the disciples.
Stir up your spirit and encourage yourself in the Holy Ghost.
God is more than able to make this 2017 a fulfilling year for you.
Follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit, pray and keep rejoicing in the Lord because God remains Faithful to His word.
Peter’s bold confession and promises to God could not manifest because he could not then pray, as he should. Learn from that and pray and do the things the Holy Spirit asked you to do.
Pray more, Give more, Love more, and Praise more. Don’t yield to the flesh.
