And holiness
“Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:” Hebrews 12: 14 (KJV)
Most believers often quote the first part of the above scripture of being at peace with all men. However, it’s a twin condition of having peace with all men and living a holy life that is visible and noticeable.
As it is straightforward to know and see the trend of a troublemaker that is not at peace with himself or herself, so also you can see the holiness in the life of the person too.
Really? Pastor, I can hear you!!! You mean holiness is visible?
Holiness cannot be faked for a long time. The real you will come out at some testy points in your life. Your actual character will come out one way or the other even if you manage to live a false life for a while. Like smoke that cannot be hidden, it will come out.
“Who can understand his errors? Cleanse thou me from secret faults.” Psalm 19:12 (KJV)
The Psalmist knew that its possible to appear and behave holy and yet be contaminated inside that’s why he cried out to God to help him get rid of those things in his life that others can see.
To see God when your assignment is over here on earth, there must be no secret sin hidden because HE considers all things Trying to hide sin from God is like running from your shadow you can never get away.
With how the world events (prophetic) are happening its getting clearer to the true believer that the rapture could happen any time from now.
Are you prepared to meet God if the trumpet should sound or you will be left behind that when it will be apparent to all that you have not been living in holiness, but you only have been appearing holy?
“Work at getting along with each other and with God. Otherwise, you’ll never get so much as a glimpse of God. Make sure no one gets left out of God’s generosity. Keep a sharp eye out for weeds of bitter discontent. A thistle or two gone to seed can ruin a whole garden in no time. Watch out for the Esau syndrome: trading away God’s lifelong gift to satisfy a short-term appetite. You will know how Esau later regretted that impulsive act and wanted God’s blessing—but by then it was too late, tears or no tears.” Hebrews 12:14-17 (MSG)
Make Peace and Holiness doable in Your life.
